April has been a fantastic month from start to finish! We started the month with a lovely long and sunny weekend celebrating all things Easter - eating plenty of chocolate but also gathering together and celebrating the arrival of spring.

St George’s Day Dance 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🕺💃

We had lots of fun celebrating St George’s Day! The home was decorated with lots of red and white flags and even a St George’s Day banner. WISH Activity Team member Jackie snapped this lovely moment between Care Assistant, Steph and our lovely gent, Colin ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Ladies Who Lunch 🍽️🥰

Last week, our lovely ladies Ann and Pam went on a trip out to The Glass Horse pub for lunch with WISH Activity Team member Jackie and minibus driver Ste. Ann had sausage and mash and Pam had a lasagne - delicious choices, ladies ❤️

⭐️ Employee of The Month ⭐️

We are so pleased to announce that our employee of the month for March is our super Senior Carer, Dawn! 👏

Dawn has been part of our home for nearly 13 years now and consistently goes above and beyond for our ladies and gents every day. Our lovely gent Sean had a pleasure of presenting Dawn with her award ❤️

Thank you Dawn for all your hard work and dedication to our residents 🏆

A Bloomin’ Great April 💐🐶

Our ladies and gents have had a great start to April, some say we have flourished in the springtime sun! ☀️❤️

A few of our ladies enjoyed taking part in a floristry class, making their own beautiful bouquets and baskets - so beautiful 💐

It was also our weekly Helping Hands club, or should we say, Helping Hands and Paws club, as Carl brought his dog Millie along to see all fun too 🥰

🎂 Happy Birthday Sean 🎂

At the end of March we celebrated our lovely gent, Lee’s 49th Birthday. His family brought him a giant birthday cake to share with his friends, fellow residents and also with staff… Reports say, “it was delicious!” ❤️

We hope you had a wonderful day, Lee and we thank you and your family for allowing us to be a part of your special celebrations 🥰

🐰 Easter Weekend 🐰

We had a visit from the Easter bunnies this weekend here at Stocks Hall St Helens! They joyfully hopped from room to room, delivering Easter eggs and sweet treats to our ladies and gents… we don’t know who has more fun, our residents or our Nurse, Nathan, aka The Easter Bunny ❤️😂

What a wonderful month we have had this March. Spring is a season that fills us with optimism and hope. It reminds us that life is cyclical, and after the darkness of winter comes the brightness of Spring - shown beautifully by this months’ cover star Ann, taken by our lovely Home Carer Alex.

A Trip to Acorn Farm 🦙🐏🐐

What a wonderful day we had at Acorn Farm last week! The spring sunshine was a great addition to the day as we spent a lot of time outdoors feeding and petting all the animals 🥰

From donkeys, goats, sheep and even alpacas, there were animals of all shapes and sizes we could get up to close and feed. In the morning, three little lambs were born too - perfect day for a farm trip 🥹

To top off the afternoon, we enjoyed a McDonalds on the way home 😋

💚 St Patrick’s Day 💚

We had a great day on Tuesday celebrating St Patrick’s Day! Our ladies, gents and staff got all dressed up for the occasion and we had a wonderful day listening to Irish music and trying our best at an Irish dance 💃 🇮🇪

David’s Easter Tree 🐣🎄

This is our lovely gent David's Easter themed Christmas tree. David lives on our Jade unit and keeps his Christmas Tree up all year round with its themed changing with the various seasons etc. Some of our favourites have been his Valentine’s Day or Halloween tree, but we think this one takes the cake! ❤️👏

A Trip to Knowsley Safari Park 🐅🦒🦏🚌

Yesterday we took a fun trip to Knowsley Safari Park with our lovely ladies Glenys, Kerry and Maureen, along with our WISH Activity Team and Minibus driver, Ste 🚌

Everyone had a fabulous time and made friends with the sea lions too. We saw lots of different animals driving and walking around with the highlight being able to watch the lions feeding! 🐅
