🎄 Christmas Day 🎄

We had a wonderful time this Christmas Day, with all our staff going above and beyond to make the day so special for our ladies and gents ❤️

Our lovely Nurse Caz on duty said, “On Emerald Unit, everyone enjoyed opening presents, relaxing together and of course, eating a lovely Christmas dinner made by the kitchen staff! We had lovely family visits both in and out of the home.” 🥰

Christmas Pyjama Day! ❤️👏

What better way to spend Christmas week than spending it in your pyjamas and watching all your favourite Christmas films 🍿

The Team on Emerald Unit organised this festive day with everyone having a relaxing and happy day 💖

The next day, our beautiful Carol enjoyed her special birthday, looking, feeling and being treated like a princess 👑 🥳

Christmas Parties Galore 🧑‍🎄🥳

Another day, another fabulous festive party to attend - we wish our social calendar was this busy! Last week, our WISH Activity Team took Pamela and David to a Christmas Party organised by the John Smiths Helping Hands group 🙌❤️

As you can see by the lovely photos, Pamela and David enjoyed the party so much, including the fab singer and another visit from santa. A hotpot lunch was also provided too… more fuel for dancing 💃🕺

Pub Lunching 🍽️⭐️

Where is one of the most festive places to go for lunch than your local pub!? Christmas songs playing on the jukebox, festive decorations and a comforting Christmas menu to get you in the spirit ✨

WISH Activity Team members Lisa and Lauren went out dining for lunch with our deserving gents David and Dean… party hats and all 🥳

We had an absolute ball at our Christmas Party this week! Held at Windleshaw sports club that is at the back of our home, singers Phil and Steve kept us entertained all afternoon… along with our WISH Team of elves ❤️💚

Our fab kitchen team laid on hotpot and curry for our guests, which was delicious and warming on our festive afternoon. It was lovely for so many families and staff to join us for the Christmas celebrations, we appreciate your support. We even had a visit from Santa himself 🎅

Well done to all our staff and families for making it such a special day for our ladies and gents 👏

A Fun Trip to Blackpool 🚌🎰

On Thursday we tootled our way up to Blackpool for a day of fun in the arcades. We changed our notes into pennies and had fun on the coin pushers, even trying our luck on the claw machines too 🍀

After all that fun, we had a delicious spot of lunch and drove back through the illuminations to tick off all the fun that busy Blackpool has to offer ✅

For the month of November, we are so proud to announce that our new member of staff, Janice, is our employee of the month! ❤️

Janice has made such a fantastic first impression in her first couple of months with us. Her hard work and dedication has not gone unnoticed 🥰

Festive Fun 🎄💌📫

The festivities have well and truly begun this December! Last week we went to our favourite weekly group at Ruskin Drive, John Smith’s Helping Hands - we always have a wonderful time there together ❤️

We have also been writing letters and Christmas cards, so WISH Activity Team Member Lisa and our lovely gent Jeff played post man and collected them all to put in our special post box 🥰

Santa Came To Visit! 🎅🦌⭐️

Yesterday we had a special visit from the big red man himself, Father Christmas! The wonderful team Rotary St Helens came to see our ladies and gents again this year and the excitement was palpable 🤩

WISH Activity Team Member Lisa said, “Joan from Amethyst unit was so excited when Santa came over to her, she wanted to give him a kiss!” That’s one way to get on the nice list 🥰

Thank you to Rotary St Helens once again for making our residents evening so special ❤️

Super Christmas Fayre 🎄❤️⭐️

What a fantastic turnout from all our friends and families at our Christmas Fayre on Saturday! It was an amazing day filled with great food, stalls, entertainment from singer, Phil Ford, and more 🤩

WISH Activity Team Member Jackie said, “It was so lovely to see so many families come to our home on Saturday. Also to see the families of those who's loved ones have since passed, we appreciate your on going support to our home. Thank you all for coming!” ❤️

A big thank you to all the staff who helped put on this wonderful day, your time, effort and support is truly appreciated 👏
