It is with great sadness that we must announce
the closure of Carbis Bay Opticians on 18th December.
When we opened, we were filled with confidence that
it would prove to be a success, like our other practices.
We have worked very hard to try and achieve this and
we do have some wonderful patients. Unfortunately, we
just don’t have enough of them! This may have a lot to do
with the area having a high proportion of second homes and
holiday lets. If you are one of our patients, your clinical
records are being retained centrally and will be available,
should your new Optician require them.
Details of how to still contact us can be found at:
Be the first to know and let us send you an email when CarbisBay Opticians posts news and promotions. Your email address will not be used for any other purpose, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Local Independent Opticians in Plymouth, South West Devon and Cornwall since 1979.
Established by Peter Noakes, Nick Habermehl and Andrew Kerr in 1979, with the sole aim of providing the highest standards of clinical expertise in their local communities. With all three founding Opticians still in practice today, this ethos has remained unchanged for 40 years.
All our practitioners and staff, including the team at Carbis Bay: Dan, Pamela and Jason, are given complete clinical freedom to carry out additional assessments, fit any types or makes of contact lens and recommend just about any spectacle lens currently available. How does this benefit you? It means you are always receiving the very best advice and recommendations without external commercial pressures dictating what we offer.
Our Opticians have access to the very latest 3D OCT imaging technology; allowing them to view the internal structures of you eye, like never before. We routinely use high-resolution retinal photography to monitor the slightest changes in your retinas; proving an invaluable preventive tool. We utilise the latest corneal topography imaging for supplying Orthokeratology contact lenses like Eye Dream and our clinical assistants also have access to state-of-the-art perimetry tools for assessing your field-of-vision.
Our Dispensing Opticians enjoy complete freedom to discuss all aspects of your vision requirements from home life, work to leisure activities so that we ensure our recommendations actually meet all your lifestyle needs. Impartial styling advise is offered when choosing frames and we will often order in additional catalogue models for you to try.
Throughout your visit you will see that we always put you first; taking our time to listen to you, understand you, discuss and offer recommendations that are suited just to you.
Maybe it’s time to leave the cattle market and discover a local independent Optician that really cares about your vision . . .
