Protect your baby from Rotavirus

Rotavirus is a very common virus that can cause severe diarrhoea and vomiting in babies and young children. Almost all children will catch it at least once by the age of five.

The good news is there is a free NHS vaccine to help protect your baby.

✔ Given as simple oral drops (not an injection)
✔ Helps protect against severe illness and dehydration
✔ Safe and used routinely in the UK

Your baby will be offered:
• First dose at 8 weeks
• Second dose at 12 weeks

If you think your child may have missed their vaccination, please get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to help.

🌐 More information is available on the NHS website

Vaccination is the best protection.

If your concern is routine or can safely wait, we kindly ask that you contact us next week when we hope to have improved availability.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding while we prioritise urgent clinical need and work hard to maintain safe care for our patients.

We hope everyone stayed safe during the storm last night. The surgery is open today; however, we are operating with minimal administrative and clinical staff. As a result, some appointments may need to be cancelled.

We are cancelling all appointments for clinical staff who live out of town until 9:00am, when we hope road conditions and visibility will have improved.

Please stay safe today, and thank you for your understanding.
