It’s the busiest weekend of the year here in Cornwall – we hope you all enjoy it safely! A few reminders to keep healthy:

✅ Stay hydrated – drink plenty of water.
☀️ Protect your skin – use sunscreen and take shade breaks.
🚶 Take care travelling – roads and coast paths will be busy.
🍴 Pace yourself – enjoy food & drink in moderation.

💙 NHS 111 (online or by phone) is available 24/7 for urgent but non-emergency advice.
💙West Cornwall Hospital, Penzance, for their Urgent Treatment Centre. Open: every day, 8am to 10pm, walk in or call 111
💙 999 or Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro, Emergency Department. Open: 24 hours every day. This is for serious and life-threatening injury and illness.

Important Health Update – Measles Cases on the Rise

With cases on the rise across the UK, we want to remind families of the importance of protecting children through vaccination.

📍 Our uptake of childhood immunisations is currently low, and with the holiday season bringing increased travel and contact with others, the risk of exposure is higher than usual.

✅ The MMR vaccine (measles, mumps, and rubella) is safe, effective, and offers the best protection against these serious illnesses.

👉 If your child has missed any of their routine vaccinations, it's not too late. Please contact us to check their record and book an appointment.

Alcohol Awareness Week (7th-13th July)
The theme for this year’s Alcohol Awareness campaign is ‘Alcohol and Work’.

If your mental or physical health is making it difficult for your to go to work or stay in work, and you're relying on alcohol when pressures build up, it might be worth talking to a WorkWell coach.

They can offer free, confidential, friendly support and advice.
