π’ Prescription Ordering Reminder
To make sure your medication is ready when you need it, please order your repeat prescription around 10 days before it is due.
This allows time for:
βοΈ The Stennack team to process your request and pass it to your GP, then your GP to review and sign off - this can take up to 3 days (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays)
βοΈ Your chosen pharmacy to receive and dispense your prescription - this can take 7-10 days
βΉοΈ Please note, you do not have to wait at the pharmacy for your prescription to be made up. Once we have processed it within our three-day window, you can collect it from your pharmacy. If your pharmacy has not yet made up your prescription and you choose to wait, please be prepared for a delay and be patient with their staff β they are working hard to minimise waiting times for all patients.
π How to order your repeat prescription:
π± NHS App β quick, secure, and available 24/7
π» Online consultation system β https://accurx.nhs.uk/patient-initiated/y01922
π Paper request β hand it in at reception or into our prescription box in the foyer
π§ Email β send to prescriptions.stennack@nhs.net
(include full name, date of birth, address, and the medications you require)
We try not to take prescription requests over the phone to help reduce call waiting times. However, if you are unable to use any of the above methods, we will support you where we can.
Forgot to order your medication?
π Contact your nominated pharmacy β they may be able to provide a short emergency supply until your prescription is processed
π Out of hours β call NHS 111 for advice and emergency medication help
π In urgent situations β we may be able to issue a high-priority prescription, but this is for emergencies only and cannot be guaranteed for non-urgent requests
By ordering your medication in good time, you help us to keep services running smoothly and ensure your treatment is not interrupted.
Thank you for your cooperation,
The Stennack Surgery Team
