This weekend..
Thinking of those Mum's who are Dad too and everyone where this weekend's Father's Day is a challenge...

Those who no longer have dad around..
Those estranged..
Those whose relationship can be strained..
Those whose precious babies have died..
Those who long to be a dad ...

Be kind to yourself if the above is you .

⭐ In recognition of Carers Week, we're delighted to share with you our brand new resources for carers.

These resources, including videos featuring our own team members, are designed to provide information and reassurance to anyone supporting someone who is dying at home.

Please visit our resources for carers webpage here: https://orlo.uk/WNnW0

Elmien Brink, Associate Director - Clinical Services, said β€œWe understand that many people prefer to spend their final moments at home, and we recognise that caring for someone in their dying phase can be both challenging and rewarding. While there are numerous organisations in our community that offer carer support, there is a lack of resources specifically focused on supporting carers during this critical time. We hope that this resource will provide the necessary support to carers.” πŸ’™

GREAT ANALOGY:

You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere. Why did you spill the coffee?
"Because someone bumped into me!!!"
Wrong answer.
You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup. Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea. Whatever is inside the cup is what will spill out.
Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.
So we have to ask ourselves... β€œwhat's in my cup?"
When life gets tough, what spills over? Joy, gratitude, peace and humility?
Anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting-tendencies?
Life provides the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.
Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation, resilience, positivity; and kindness, gentleness and love for others.

In Indonesia they have Nyepi coming up which is day of silence..lights are turned off...no engines run..people stay indoors...I've been sent this little clip which shows the ogoh ogoh (the demon to chase away other demons) made by the children of a little kindness school...see how they parade around taking their ogoh ogoh into all the corners of the garden lest a demon be there....got me thinking.... maybe we should all have an ogoh ogoh to scare away any demons we think might threaten us ....πŸ€”
