Meditation is not wacky or hearts and flowers.. It's a Science and 1000's of years old..
It's empowering, stabilizing, balancing! It brings the mind to stillness and the body to rest by way of the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS). Which is your rest and digest state that allows the body to restore and repair.
The breath slows down, heart rate drops and the mind quietens, the chattering monkey mind is tamed.

This is where you find deep relaxation and peace.

Zero Balancing is a psychosomatic therapy, which means it works with the body and mind!
It aids in shutting down the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) stressful situations, over active mind and activates the parasympathetic nervous system (Rest and digest).
The mind calms into a meditative state, the body relaxes down enabling deep rest and rejuvenation.
Post therapy should leave the client more relaxed, lighter, calmer with a greater sense of ease and flexibility of body and mind.

Zero balancing can help bring about an inner/outer equilibrium of body and mind. We are not designed to be in perpetual states of stress, fear, trauma, anxiety. The body heals when in the parasympathetic nervous state (Rest and digest) where the immune system can function at its best and as it should.

ZB takes you back to Zero, our natural state of being.

"Beyond being a therapy, Zero Balancing is a community. Some of the most exciting and stimulating features of ZB are the people who have been attracted to study this approach, and the community and friendships we have made…I have been doubly blessed to be working alongside so many others..to create the Zero Balancing Community with its focus and frame to make the world a better, healthier, and more actualized place. We are all so blessed.” Dr. Fritz Smith, Borrego Springs, California, 2016 from Life In The Bones by David Lauterstein

The human skeleton has 206 bones and approximately 360 joints. It's designed to be flexible and not rigid. The joints act as levers for movement but also as shock absorbers, so when in motion force is eased through the joints. Each joint has a certain amount of play depending on the range of motion (ROM) of that specific joint.

Over time with age or through physical trauma and/or mental trauma (Held tension) the joints can become less flexible, no springiness to them even stuck in some cases. This can cause many problems over time such as over compensation, restricted range of movement, discomfort etc.

In Zero balancing, we as therapist work at bone level and primarily at the intersection where bones meet at the joints. With a series of gentle stretches and fulcrums at bone level we can help enhance range of motion within the joints, this releases the held tension that may have been held for years giving relief and help correct some of the built up problems from the blockage.

There are many benefits from Zero balancing this is just one.

ZB helps take you back to Zero, a state of equilibrium!
