Absolutely no filler was used in these naturally beautifully shaped lips. 100% this lovely patient’s own lips.

What’s important here is precision treatment by Dr. Victoria, a key understanding of anatomy and working with the patient’s own muscle strength.

This is a lovely alternative to the lip filler, perfect for patients wanting to see what a slightly fuller lip result would look like, but feeling a bit apprehensive about lip filler just yet.

⁉️Patients often ask me in clinic if had to choose only 3 treatments or products for the rest of my life, what would they be? The answer is so simple….

1- A high UVA facial SPF everyday. This is a non-negotiable as UVA light contributes to up to 80% of premature lines and wrinkles.

Brands like la Roche Posay or altruist are great for those who like a minimalist approach to skincare. If you are invested in your skin health, then we can guide you with. Medical- grade SPF suited to your skin type and needs.

2- Retinol, retinal, retinaldehyde, retinoid/tretinoin/ vitamin A = the ONLY topical anti-ageing ingredient. I’m not a fan of over-the-counter retinols you can pick yourself without guidance, as I find they can do more harm than good eg L’Oréal. However a medical formula chosen for your skin by an expert is the only cream with any proof to help reduce skin ageing.

3- SkinPen Medical Microneedling- prevention and treatment in one. 💋The perfect lip filler result should just add a “pop” to the lips- similar to the effect of a good lip liner and a little gloss, still your own beautiful lips, just a little extra. It should NOT look like you’ve had lip filler!!

Dr. Victoria always respects your own lip anatomy and delicately places tiny, tiny amounts of dermal filler with precision and intent, to support the lip and surrounding tissues, adding hydration- this is why we have longer appointments for all our dermal filler treatments. Measurements, adjustments, reviewing patients from all angles… that takes time and cannot be rushed.

Don’t be fooled- behind the fancy things, successful careers and businesses, and popularity comes some very big sacrifices. I’m fortunate to have a family that showed me very early on what was really important in life and it wasn’t any of those things.

Don’t measure your “success” with anyone else and decide what is worth the sacrifice, and what isn’t. Then make every decision with the intention to protect that.
