🇬🇧 VE Day 🇬🇧

Our residents, families, and staff enjoyed a wonderful day filled with singers, a delicious BBQ, veterans sharing memories, an amazing drumming corps, dressing up, and lots of laughter and fun.

It was so special to come together to remember and honour those who served, while creating more happy memories with our Oakfield Croft family.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day so memorable! ❤️

💎GEM OF THE MONTH💎

Our May gem award goes to our deputy manager Emily. ⭐️

Emily has stepped into her role and really embraced it. Emily has guided, taught and encouraged all of the care staff to be the best versions of themselves. She truly goes above and beyond every day and we can’t express how grateful we are for her kind and caring approach.

Friday 8th May

Join us as we come together to celebrate VE Day in true wartime spirit!

🎤 Live Singer at 11AM
Start the day with fantastic live music!

👗 Dress Code:
Come dressed in red, white & blue or your best WW2 fancy dress
Think vintage uniforms, 1940s style, or patriotic outfits!

🍷 Afternoon Bar Open
2PM – 4PM
Come along and enjoy a drink
☕ Tea & coffee also available

🎶 Let’s celebrate together with music, memories
and make it a day to remember!

🇬🇧 Just a reminder on the 3rd of May at 11am we will be having our VE Day event. We will begin with a BBQ, a visit from our friends at Trafford Veterans CIC and more entertainment from the fabulous singer Berni Stubbs. 🇬🇧

💜 Staff Appreciation Week 💜

All of our staff at Oakfield Croft go above and beyond every single day. And every day this week there was a treat.

Day 1- staff appreciation board - where staff and visitors can write annoymous notes of kindness.

Day 2- Ice-cream galore, sprinkles and all.

Day 3- Sweets, chocolates and badges (everyone at Care Uk loves a badge!)

Day 4- Pizza and awards

Day 5- Coffee and cake to start the day!

We are so incredibly proud of all the staff at Oakfield Croft. We truly appreciate everyone! 💜

💛 Sun, Smiles and Singing ☀️

We are so proud to have such a beautiful big garden at Oakfield Croft. When the sun is out we make the most of it! So we got the karaoke machine out, cocktails, wine and the cold beers.

Let’s hope the sun stays out a little longer 🕶️

The person that has gone the extra mile this month is the amazing Ann for our housekeeping team! ☘️

We are so grateful to have someone like Ann in our team at Oakfield Croft. No matter what, nothing ever stops her. From little details in her normal routine to to helping out with duties that go beyond her role.

Ann also brings treats for staff and residents regularly just to see them smile. What an amazing lady! Oakfield Croft would be lost without her 💪🏼
