Keeping up with the Amberley.

When the weather is fine, we make the very most of our outdoor garden, treating it as an extension of our home. Whether it’s sharing a leisurely meal with family and friends, surrounded by fresh air, or unwinding in the evening with a carefully chosen glass of wine for our lovely residents, the garden becomes our favourite place to relax. Comfortable seating, soft lighting, and the natural beauty of the surroundings all come together to create a welcoming and tranquil space, perfect for both lively gatherings and peaceful moments alike.

Keeping up with The Amberley 30/04/26.

Today, in celebration of International Jazz Day, we enjoyed a thoughtfully planned programme of activities that embraced both wellbeing and the arts.

The morning began with a gentle session of armchair exercises, designed to promote mobility, circulation and overall physical wellbeing in a safe and supportive environment. Residents engaged enthusiastically, setting a positive tone for the day ahead.

In the afternoon, the atmosphere shifted to one of relaxation and cultural appreciation as residents immersed themselves in the rich sounds of jazz music. Individuals were given the choice to enjoy the experience in different settings according to their preference. Some gathered in the Blue Lounge, where the ambience created an intimate listening space, while others opted to sit in the garden, making the most of the fresh air and pleasant surroundings as the music played.

The day concluded on a warm and sociable note, with residents coming together to enjoy a glass of wine. This provided an opportunity for meaningful conversation, as discussions naturally flowed around jazz music, dance, and theatre production. Residents shared memories, personal interests, and reflections, creating a sense of connection and shared enjoyment.

Overall, the day was a wonderful blend of physical activity, musical appreciation, and social engagement, celebrating both International Jazz Day and the vibrant interests of our residents.

April 2026: Good News story.

We are delighted to share the outstanding results from our recent IPC (Infection Prevention and Control) inspection. The team achieved an exceptional score of 100%, with our inspector providing highly positive feedback across all assessed areas. This is a significant accomplishment and reflects the consistently high standards maintained throughout the service.

This success is a direct result of the dedication, professionalism, and teamwork demonstrated by everyone involved. In particular, we would like to recognise the invaluable contribution of our housekeeping team, whose attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment played a crucial role. We also extend our sincere thanks to the IPC Leads for their strong leadership, guidance, and ongoing support in embedding best practice across the team.

We would also like to express our appreciation to the maintenance team for their diligence in ensuring that all safety checks are consistently completed to a high standard, supporting a safe and compliant environment for all.

Team Amberley should be extremely proud of this achievement. It not only highlights the quality of care and safety provided but also sets a benchmark for continued excellence.

Thank you all for your hard work and commitment—please keep up the fantastic work.

Well done Team Amberley.

Keeping up with The Amberley 24/04/26.

At the Amberley, we love spending time enjoying jigsaw puzzles, carefully piecing together intricate designs and taking satisfaction in finding the perfect fit. We’re also keen on *Misfit* board games, which bring a quirky twist to traditional gameplay and keep things fresh, engaging and full of surprises. Alongside these, we enjoy playing dominoes, valuing both the strategic element and the social atmosphere they create when shared together.

Keeping up with The Amberley - 22/04/26

Today, we had the pleasure of celebrating Earth Day together, and what a truly special day it has been. We thoroughly enjoyed a variety of activities, from drawing and colouring pictures to decorating rocks, all inspired by nature. A particular highlight was spending time in our garden alongside our families, planting and nurturing new life together.

It was a beautiful and meaningful experience for everyone involved, and it would not have been possible without the generosity and support of our families. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to you all for kindly donating such lovely plants and for taking the time to help plant them with us. Your contributions have made a lasting difference to our garden.

Wishing you all a very Happy Earth Day.
