Myley Trip to Bowling

What a fantastic morning we had at Atlantic Bowling in Altrincham! 🎳

We kicked off the day with a few sceptical residents, but it didn’t take long for everyone to get into the spirit. The residents soon found themselves getting competitive and sharing lots of laughs together. It was wonderful to see so many smiles and friendly rivalry!

As you can probably guess, Sam, our Wellbeing Assistant, and Paul, our Myley driver, got a little too competitive — with Paul just edging out Sam by one point to take the win! 🏆

🍷🧀 Last Friday’s Happy Hour at Ashlands Manor Care Centre was a truly lovely afternoon! We enjoyed delicious cheese and wine, and were delighted to welcome our wonderful friends from our sister home, Cheadle Manor.

It was the perfect chance to chat, make new friends, and share some laughter — with plenty of wine to go around, of course!

We can’t wait to welcome them back again soon for more great times together. Cheers to friendship and community! 🥂✨

🌟 A huge thank you to Liz from Languagility for a wonderful French language session this morning at Ashlands Manor Care Centre! 🇫🇷

For many of our residents, it was a delightful opportunity to learn something new and exciting. But for Jackie and Mary, who are both former French teachers, it was a special moment to share their knowledge and passion with their fellow residents.

What a day to remember at Ashlands Manor! ❤️⚽️

This week, we had the absolute honour of taking our beloved Jimmy back to his old stomping ground — Old Trafford! In the 1960s, Jimmy graced the pitch as a midfield maestro for Manchester United under the legendary Sir Matt Busby, earning his place in footballing history.

So when the opportunity came to revisit the Theatre of Dreams, we knew it was something truly special. Jimmy lit up as he walked through the stadium, sharing incredible memories and stories from his playing days with his fellow residents.

And the icing on the cake? Spotting him proudly on United’s Wall of Heroes — a moving reminder of the legacy he left behind. What a beautiful, emotional experience for everyone involved. 💫

At Ashlands Manor, it’s moments like these that make everything worthwhile.

🌟 Wish Tree Moment at Ashlands Manor 🌟

Yesterday, we had the absolute joy of fulfilling another one of our lovely residents’ “Wish Tree” wishes. This time, it was Sue’s turn — and her heartfelt wish was to spend time with ponies again 🐴💫

Thanks to the wonderful ladies at Simply Shetlands, we made that dream come true! William and Caramel, our adorable four-legged visitors, trotted in to spread smiles, spark memories, and bring pure joy to Sue and everyone else at the home 🥰

Moments like these are what it’s all about — creating magical memories with the incredible people who live here. 💖✨

🌿 Green fingers and a happy heart! 🌿

Over the past few weeks, Gwen has been loving the chance to keep up with her gardening here at Ashlands Manor Care Centre. 🪴💚

Bringing many of her cherished plants from her previous garden was a big part of helping her settle in and feel right at home. Watching them thrive has brought joy not just to Gwen, but to all of us who get to see her garden bloom 🌸😊
