We are very upset to report that Julie Hatchell Opticians was broken into in the early hours of Monday morning. There has been considerable damage and unfortunately a large quantity of Rayban sunglasses have been stolen!
Please look out for anyone selling Raybans cheaply, without cases, as they may be stolen goods!! 😒😒

The practice will be closed on Tuesday 7th May 2024 for staff training and installation of some new equipment that we are very excited to have!
The world’s fastest OCT scanner Optopols Revo FC will enable us to deliver a more enhanced eye examination, allowing us to create a cross sectional scan of the retina, similar to an ultrasound scan.
The scan is non-invasive, painless and simple to use and with advanced technology allows the detection of health issues before symptoms are even present, in some cases up to 5 years earlier.

Following the publication of England's COVID-19 response: Summer 2021, and the Prime Minister's follow up statement on the 12th July, the Government has stated that health and care settings in England should continue to maintain appropriate prevention and control (IPC) measures.

The Chief Medical and Chief Scientific advisers have also stated that THE PANDEMIC IS NOT OVER and they expect an extremely high prevalence of COVID-19 infections until at least the end of August.

Optical sector bodies support the need to maintain robust IPC measures and we will continue to monitor updated public health advice and work with NHS England as the situation evolves.

Julie Hatchell Opticians will be continuing the following measures:

Face masks compulsory for all patients entering the premises, unless there is a documented health exemption or the patient is a young child.

Triaging before an appointment is offered. This is being done to assess urgency of appointment and to minimise face to face time in the practice examination room, due to the very close proximity that we work with patients.

Social distancing in waiting/dispensing areas

Disinfection of all frames handled by patients and staff before being put back on display

Appointment only entry to access services.

Locked front door to control numbers of people entering the practice

Disinfection of all examination room and dispensing equipment and areas in between patient use

Where necessary, telephone consultations.

Screens kept in place.

All of the staff are fully vaccinated and
we will continue to work hard , to keep YOU and ourselves, safe and risk free of Covid 19.

Thankyou for playing your part in keeping my staff and myself safe by continuing to comply with the safety measures we are implementing and requesting.

Julie.

As we are an Essential business, we are glad to say that we will remain open from tomorrow, despite a second lockdown!
We will still be operating on reduced days as we have been since July, however Julie is always available via telephone or social media throughout the next few weeks, if you have any concerns or questions regarding your eyecare! We are continuing to book appointments where we feel necessary for face to face, especially if there are concerns regarding vision problems or spectacle repairs/adjustments or replacements.
We have provided a Covid secure environment since July and will endeavour to continue the same for the foreseeable future!
Thank you for the support you have all shown in such difficult times and we ask you to continue this moving forwards! We are all working together to get through this pandemic and I’m sure 2021 will bring some happier days!
Keep strong and stay safe! πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Good afternoon.
Just an update on what's going on at Julie Hatchell Opticians!!
We are now booking appointments from the 1st July. πŸ˜€
Things will be very different for the forseeable future thanks to the Coronavirus, but we will aim to meet your needs, always keeping yours and our safety top priority, to the best of our ability.
We will be operating a locked door policy, only allowing a reduced number of people in the practice at any one time, so whether you need an eye examination, contact lens assessment, spectacle fitting/adjustment, repairs or you fancy a browse at our wonderful selection of frames, then we would ask you always to call first so we can give you a convenient time slot suiting your needs.
We are still only booking for symptom led examinations, so if you feel happy there are no problems with your eyehealth, vision or specs/contact lenses, then we ask you to be patient and perhaps contact us later in the year.
Due to some staff being shielded, we will only have availablity for appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Woolton Village and Wednesdays and Fridays in our Sale practice, however Julie is available for telephone consultations the rest of the week,(excluding Sundays), if the need arises. These days can be flexible depending on circumstances so Saturdays can still be considered.
All the staff will be wearing full PPE, and we will be deep cleaning after every appointment to ensure safety.
We are also requesting all patients wear facemask/facecoverings whist in the practice.
As you know we offer a very personal service at Julie Hatchell Opticians,so our appointments will be longer, however time in the examination room will need to be reduced, to eliminate risk of infection, so parts of your examination may be done either via telephone triage or outside of the test room.
We look forward to seeing all of our loyal patients again, and of course welcome any new ones also.
We can't emphasise enough the importance of dealing with any worries you may have regarding your eyes, so please call:
Woolton Village: 0151 428 4040
Sale Practice: 0161 973 9843 or email juliehatchellopticians@gmail.com
And finally please, please, please support independent businesses and especially Julie Hatchell Opticians.
Stay safe and keep alert! πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ€“πŸ‘πŸ‘
