Fairfield volunteers are excited to announce the launch of our new Volunteer Wellbeing Tuck Shop 😃

Starting today, our volunteers will be making regular visits to patients on the wards, offering a variety of drinks, snacks, toiletries, and friendly conversation. This new service aims to bring a little extra comfort and support to patients during their stay.

To begin with, we will be visiting wards on Wednesday and Thursday mornings, reaching as many patients as possible. We hope to expand the service soon and offer visits Monday to Friday.

Please note that stock will be limited at first and payments are cash only. From April, we plan to introduce card payments and a wider range of items.

A huge thank you to Rob, our Catering Manager, for all your support in helping us get this service started. Working together to improve our patients’ experience really makes a difference ❤️

Great afternoon last Friday with another great singalong session on ward 18 and 8 from talented Jackie John and caroline. We had speacial requests, patient performances and so much fun! Atlas our award winning therapy dog enjoyed a special visit to the ARCU at Fairfield hospital, visiting a patient celebrating her 102 birthday. She really enjoyed her speacial vistor as did the other patients on the ward 💙 thankyou atlas and Tina owner and also volunteer here at fairfield, your visits always bring joy to our staff and patients 💙

❄️ WINTER WONDERLAND 11/12/25 ❄️

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this years winter wonderland event such a warm and magical success.

🍰 BAKE SALE - Our tables were overflowing with delicious homemade treats!

🐾 THERAPY DOGS - The stars of the day! Their calm cuddles and wagging tails brought so many smiles!

🎁 TOMBOLA - With plenty of prizes and lots of excitement it was a sell-out hit!

🧵HANDMADE STALL - Beautiful crafts and thoughtful gifts all handmade by our wonderful volunteers!

🎶 VOLUNTEER VOICES CHOIR - The perfect festive addition, bringing true seasonal magic!

🎅 SANTA AND ELF VISIT - A truely spectacular way to top off the festive excitement!

Our Volunteers Annual Celebration last night was a huge success, and it was all thanks to the incredible people who give their time and energy throughout the year.
