Come and set up for a Volunteering shift on the Hydration Trolley with one of our wonderful Volunteers. This role is extremely important in providing patients with hydration during their stay, aiding in their recovery! We are currently recruiting for this role. Day 2 at Oldham volunteers week another special guest joining us to support was Andrea

So not many pictures as a patient who has been with us a while and we have got to know very well was leaving and on her first encounter with our volunteers we did her bed board to support the ward finding out her preferred name and what really mattered to her (a hug from her husband and her hair being done) so I had to nip off and get her all ready for that big hug 🥰

Then we met 2 lovely people who had come for an appointment whilst at the front desk enjoying our goodies 🤭☺️ we had a very lovely chat and a good laugh they had some cake with us and now one of the lovely ladies has decided to come and join our team 🙏🏻

Great first day on volunteers week our theme is the Manchester bee 🐝 always bee kind 🐝 💛 at Team Oldham 💙

Thank you to Nova & Steve helping out meeting the volunteers and our patients with a special day for one and a visit off our chief officer made her day 🥰 93 years young today 🎂

Nova met Sheila our longest volunteer at Oldham of 24 years 🙏🏻🥰 Sheila showed her the stress free back therapy she gives to us all and then put her through her paces 😂😂

Our celebrations for VE Day didn’t go as planned but we still managed to have fun and made everyone laugh 😆 especially me running with a make shift cape while the final salute 🫡 played looking like a super hero trying to save the day 🫣 (I never saved the day 😳😂) thank you to Tania from the outpatient clinics for supporting us and joining in the fun 🩵❤️⛑️
