Happy New Moon witches 🌚 This New Moon hits in Virgo, a sign that I think gets a bad rap...
Yes it's structured and organised...but its also a mutable sign, which means Virgo is HERE for change! Entirely adaptable, this energy is just what's needed to gently bring us back down to earth before Autumn comes.

I needed this today! The transition into 'working mum of two' has been REAL. I definitely felt yesterday that some kind of balance had emerged. I know the boat will rock again, but at least I now know where the central balance point is... now I just need to discover the tools that will bring me back to it!
The 6 of Swords is also ruled by Leo ♌ This feels like no accident, as we transition into Virgo season, I can't be the only one filled with 'Back 2 School' dread 😅 It's comforting to remember that this push towards order, structure and organisation, is actually an exercise of deep self-care.
It is time to redress the balance after the fire of Leo season, and come back to a state of grounding with Virgo.

To my celtic ancestors, lughnasadh (or Lammas) was the first harvest. Time to gather wheat and other crops, to call in the fruits of their labour.
To me, it's a time to acknowledge my achievements and, most importantly, enjoy them! Allow the joy I always knew that I deserved.
It is still summer, but the time for active growth is behind us. Instead, let's play, laugh and be merry. We have earned this!!

Cancer season is here, and as Cancer is ruled by the Moon, each of her phases is amplified. Today's New Moon will bring a powerful reset for sure!
As a water sign, and a deep one at that, you may find yourself confronted by your own emotions in ways that suprise you.
Patterns you thought were long gone, and feelings you'd buried away (consciously or unconciously) may be rising to the surface.

Heavy, with a capital Huh?!
There is such a lot going on up there right now and as we all know...as above, so below!
I have really been feeling the pull to start new things, get creating, get manifesting (you know, classic New Moon vibes) but overwhelm, and intrusive thoughts have had other ideas and I haven't really known what to do. Thanks Gemini! 😄
Mercury retrograde is partly to blame too. It's Gemini's ruling planet, and the planet of communication, so it's taking lots of extra work to make sure that we're hearing (and saying) what we think we are.
Add a Pluto retrograde into the mix and we are really being drawn down into our own depths. How are we communicating with ourselves, about ourselves and how are we telling our story to others?
Transformation and hella growth are within our reach now, witches. Shadow work is uncomfortable, but done safely, it's a great way to help us see where we want, and need, to be.
If it feels safe to you, go for it. If not, bookmark anything that's rising up and come back to it when you can.
Remember, there is no rush for growth, it will come to you when you are ready for it. Be gentle, and accept yourself as you meet yourself, today. Acknowledge that where you are has nothing to do with where you will be. It merely serves to help you see your very next move.

A New Moon in Aries. Time to get s**t done! As I've said before, I am a HUGE fan of a New Moon. I'm all about the blank-slate/anything-is-possible/fresh-start moonvibes.
Maybe because I've always struggled with motivating myself? Every month I know that I have the Moon's magic on my side to get going, and that brings me great comfort ☆
One of my intentions for this month is to deepen my connection to Aries energy. It's my rising sign but I've always struggled to align with it's fierce, proactive and assertive qualities. I was lucky enough to join a circle with the magnetic last year who shared just how important it is to embrace your ascending sign.
It allows you to see yourself through an outside eye but more importantly - unlock the motivations behind your gut reactions, good or bad, and use this insight to grow.
It feels pretty apt to focus on this right now, with Chiron conjunct with Mercury and Moon, deep healing of past wounds is on the cards. It might not be all sunshine and roses, but, keep in mind that it is by recognising the dark that we truly see the light (🧀, but true).
This would be a great time to connect to the womb space and allow ancestral healing ( has a great meditation video to start this journey), or just look out for ways in which you can process past hurt you've been avoiding.
Self- care will be extra important so make the time for it, even if you don't think you need it - you do!

Ostara - Spring has finally sprung!
We did it witches, another Winter is behind us and it is officially time to feel less cold (hopefully😅) The sun has been shining where I am this weekend and its definitely affected how I've been feeling 🤸
Ostara (Oetara/Eostara/Easter) has long been celebrated as the arrival of new life, new ideas and new hope. The Goddess of dawn, Ostara is associated with Hares and Eggs; symbols of strength, speed and birth. You can expect things to start picking up around you, and baby ideas to leap into toddlerhood.
But remember, toddlers are still unpredictable, impressionable, little tornados 🤪. There is so much wonder and wisdom, but guidance and nurturing is very important at this stage. If you have little baby projects on the brew, listen out for cues and be ready to help them grow.
I have spent the last 2 weeks feeling like arse (goddamn covid), but will be working with the Ostara energy over the next couple of days to burn up the residual season's baggage and set intentions for brighter months ahead ☆♡☆

Once upon a time, in a land far far away...actually in a land right underneath your feet probably, women were respected and adored for their capacity to heal, nurture, inspire and create life itself.
So strong is the magic within women, that there seems to have been a global effort to suppress and shame it. The parasetic rise of a religion that worshiped just the one, male, almighty God of everything, most certainly played an important (and devastating) part in the perceived demise of the feminine.
Before then, on my ancestral land, the tales of GODDESSES in all stages of womanhood resonated, strong.
As the centuries passed, more and more of the magic embedded into society's beliefs and understanding of women was replaced, by an assault of negative imagery, 'unnatrative' qualities and outright falsehoods of comparative weakness.
The scars of this ancestral battle lie coarse across a woman's skin. And to add patriarchal insult to misogynistic injury, we are taught that these scars bring shame and are to be hidden.
A lot of women know their own power and it can be frustrating to consistently remind others. The thing is, the wound is so deep on an ancestral level that during times like International Woman's Day, we have an opportunity to do some deep healing on a collective energetic scale.
Verbalising and owning the power of women will make a difference to the women that have been before and those still to come. So, say it with me loud and proud (why not look in a mirror if it feels safe for you) and affirm 'I am a goddess!'

Although Calendula Officinalis (or marigolds) were recorded in British gardens before the year had 4 digits in it, the plant is actually thought to be a native of warmer soils in mainland Europe.
It's medicinal and spiritual uses have been documented since we've been documenting. Ancient Egyptians used it to rejuvenate their skin, in Southern Europe it was used to support the immune system and it is still strung into garlands symbolically in India for weddings and other religious ceremonies, just as it has been for generations.
In the colder climes of Ireland and England, my ancestors would wait until the flowers reached their peak bloom and then dry them, bottling up their stored sunshine enegy to release into winter stews, brew blends and infused oils.
Astrologicaly speaking, Calendula is a masculine plant that's governed by the Sun. His element is Fire, which not only makes total sense just looking at him, it also helps us to get a sense of how he can help us. ☀️🔥🌼
Working with Calendula'a bright flowers, we can summon positivity, action and strength. Using infused oils we can add positive intent to our food and our skin. Steaping the flowers in hot water we can extract his heady aroma and stimulate our mind with methodical clarity.
Since first discovering Calendula, our relationship got pretty serious, pretty fast. On days when I'm struggling, and can't find the energy to get s**t done, I brew up a pot of these bright flowers and I am immediately inspired. In my New Moon rituals I add them to my bath to increase the potential for prosperity. I am nurtured and soothed by his yellow light in the darkness. There is still so much to learn from this bright spirit, and to be honest, I'm ready to commit. 💍

Mercury goes direct, yippee! But what does that actually mean? To understand, we must first learn about where it's been - in retrograde. When a planet is in retrograde, it moves in a seemingly backwards direction. I say seemingly because, obviously, planets don't just change the direction they travel in. Instead, they are subject to a scientifically explained trick of the eye... It's far too complicated for me to try and explain from a scientific perspective but, I can give it to you in vibes...
You know when you're sat on a train, or a plane, and the train/plane next to you starts moving forwards? It makes you trip out for a moment and feel like you're moving backwards. That's the vibe.
For a second, things feel off. You didn't think you were moving, but it looks like you're moving! That's what's going down when a planet goes retrograde, and that discombobulation is what ends when the planet goes direct.
So, Mercury being responsible for communication and all, the messed-up, missed-the-point, mix-up moments of the last couple of weeks could all have been due to Mercury's retrograde.
The topic is broad and there are huge positives to periods of retograde but, as Mercury goes direct today, we'll save them for another time. For now, let's all breathe a sigh of relief that we've figured out we're not moving, and look forward to a period of cleaner, clearer comms going forwards...at least for a while.
