March is Brain Tumour Awareness Month 💛

At our GP surgery, we want to take a moment to raise awareness of brain tumours — a condition that can affect anyone, at any age.

Symptoms can vary and are often subtle at first, but may include:
• Persistent or worsening headaches
• Changes in vision or speech
• Seizures
• Memory or personality changes
• Nausea or dizziness

We understand that these symptoms can be caused by many different conditions, but if you notice anything unusual or ongoing, please don’t ignore it — get in touch with us.

Early assessment can make a real difference.

Let’s work together to raise awareness, support those affected, and encourage open conversations about symptoms and concerns.

📢 Practice Closure - Training

On Thursday 26 February 2026, our practice will be closed from 1.30pm for essential staff training.

During the afternoon closure, patient care will be provided by Salford Primary Care Together. They will support all urgent health needs, including:

✅ Same Day Urgent Care
✅ Acute Prescriptions
✅ Face-to-Face and Remote Consultations
✅ Urgent Home Visits where clinically appropriate

BOWEL CANCER SCREENING
Is offered to everyone aged 50 to 74 every two years via a home kit to check for signs of cancer.

BREAST CANCER SCREENING
Women aged 50 to their 71st birthday are invited for a mammogram every three years.

CERVICAL SCREENING
Aged between 25 to 64 are invited for a routine smear test to check for HPV, typically every 5 years.

PROSTATE CANCER
There is no national, automatic screening programme in the UK. Men over 50+ with concerns can request a PSA blood test from their GP.
