Have you had your NHS bowel cancer screening test yet?

If you’re between 52-74 and registered with a GP you will automatically be sent your screening kit through the post every two years. It’s easy to do, and you can complete it yourself in the privacy of your own bathroom.

If you think you’re eligible and haven’t had a kit sent to you, you can call the bowel cancer screening helpline on 0800 707 6060.

Bowel cancer screening finds bowel cancer before you’ve noticed any symptoms, which means it’s much easier to treat.

🩺Oesophageal Cancer awareness month🩺

It’s important to get untreated heartburn under control as a cancer prevention measure. If your heartburn symptoms continue for three weeks or more, you should speak to your GP practice and get it checked.

Self-medicating with over-the-counter or off-the-shelf products, such as Gaviscon or Rennie, should always be seen as only a short term solution 💊

Cancer affects many of us — directly or through someone we love — and we want our patients to know that you’re never alone. If you’ve noticed a change in your body that doesn’t feel right, or you’re worried about a symptom, please reach out. Speaking to a GP early can make a real difference.

It might look like “just play”… but LEGO is doing some seriously good work behind the scenes 👀

Building with LEGO can help children (and adults!) to:
