How’s your pair hangin’? 🍐

The best place to find the answer is in the shower. A steamy shower helps the nuts to relax, creating prime conditions to feel around for anything out of the ordinary - like a lump, swelling or pain. Learn how to get to know your nuts using Movember's 3-step guide at movember.com/KnowThyNuts.

If you notice changes when you poo, like going more or less often, or diarrhoea or constipation that comes and goes, then talk to your GP and ask about an at-home test.

Other symptoms include blood in your poo, bleeding from your bottom or a pain or lump in your tummy. 💩

It could be nothing to worry about but it’s worth making sure. Bowel cancer is more treatable when found early.

💩Bowel Cancer Awareness Month💩

Get to know the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer:
💩Blood in your poo, or bleeding from your bottom
💩A change in your bowel habits such as looser poo, needing to poo more often, pain or feeling like you’ve not properly emptied your bowels.
💩Persistent pain, or a lump in your tummy
💩Bloating when you eat
💩Loss of appetite
💩Losing weight without trying

If you’ve had any of these symptoms for three weeks or more, or you’re just worried, talk to your GP. They have these conversations every day, so there’s no need to feel embarrassed when talking about your bowels. There can be many common reasons for these symptoms, and most people will not have cancer. But finding it early makes it much more treatable. 🩺🧑🏼‍⚕️

Have you had your NHS bowel cancer screening test yet?

If you’re between 52-74 and registered with a GP you will automatically be sent your screening kit through the post every two years. It’s easy to do, and you can complete it yourself in the privacy of your own bathroom.

If you think you’re eligible and haven’t had a kit sent to you, you can call the bowel cancer screening helpline on 0800 707 6060.

Bowel cancer screening finds bowel cancer before you’ve noticed any symptoms, which means it’s much easier to treat.

Brave the big talk this 🍃

Today is all about starting conversations that can make a real difference.

Talking about mental health isn’t always easy, but it’s one of the most powerful steps we can take to support ourselves and each other. Whether it’s a quick chat with a friend, checking in on a colleague, or opening up to someone you trust, every conversation matters.

We’re here to listen. If you’re struggling, feeling overwhelmed, or just not quite yourself, please reach out. You don’t have to face things alone.❤️
