UPDATE! : WE ARE NOW BACK UP AND RUNNING

AccuRx Triage – National Issue

We are currently experiencing a national outage with AccuRx Triage, which means online consultation forms are unavailable at this time. Unfortunately, while the system is down, we are unable to book appointments through this service.

If your issue is urgent today, please contact reception by phone. Please be aware that call wait times may be longer than usual as we work to manage demand safely.

This is affecting services nationally and our team are working hard to keep everything running as smoothly and safely as possible, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding.

Thank you 💙

The NHS has launched a new online self-assessment tool for women who experience a bleed or spotting after they’ve been through the menopause and who are not on HRT.

It's for women in Bury, Salford, Oldham, Heywood, Middleton, and Rochdale.

Any bleeding from your va**na after the menopause (when your periods have been stopped for 12 months or more) should be checked out to rule out possible womb cancer.

You can now do this without booking an appointment with a GP.

Simply answer a few questions on the online self-assessment tool to request a hospital check.

Meningitis Update – Important Information for Our Patients

We’re receiving a high number of calls about the recent meningitis cases reported in Kent.

➡️ There is no increased meningitis risk in Salford based on current guidance.

The type of meningitis involved spreads through close contact. Unless you have been in contact with someone affected or visited the specific nightclub linked to the outbreak, your risk is very low.

If you’re worried someone has symptoms of meningitis:
🚨 Call 999 or go to A&E immediately. Do not come to the GP surgery.

Parents:
Children born from 2015 onwards usually received the MenB vaccine.
Under‑2s who are behind on vaccines can have a catch‑up appointment.

Over‑2s and adults:
MenB vaccination is not available on the NHS, but can be arranged privately.

We’ll update you if national guidance changes.
More information:

Read about meningitis, an infection of the protective membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord. Find out about the symptoms, vaccines and treatments.
