Who's who Wednesday 🦉

Miss Mitchell graduated in Medicine from the University of Edinburgh in 2006. During her time there she intercalated in Psychology obtaining a First-Class Honours degree. She then went on to obtain an MSc in Surgical Sciences before moving to NW England to complete her training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Miss Mitchell is currently a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Northern Care Alliance and the Clinical Lead for Gynae Oncology.

Who’s who Wednesday 🦉

Mr Hakimi obtained his medical degree in 2001. He undertook his surgical training, gaining membership to the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008 and an Intercollegiate Fellowship in trauma and orthopaedics in 2016. He was awarded the certificate of completion of surgical training in 2017.
Mr Hakimi was appointed as a consultant Orthopaedic surgeon at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust in 2018. During his orthopaedic surgery training in the northwest Mr Hakimi trained in various techniques in Hip and knee surgery at different busy orthopaedic centres including Wrightington Hospital; He then undertook fellowship in Hip and Knee arthroplasty at Chapel Alerton Hospital in Leeds.

Who’s who Wednesday 🦉

In 1993 he graduated from Lublin Medical University, Poland. He completed specialty training in general and colorectal surgery and in 2000 he was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon at District General Hospital in Pulawy, Poland. Having completed a research project on the influence of long-term treatment with PPIs on gastric juice milieu he was awarded PhD degree. From 2006 to 2009 he worked as a Consultant General Surgeon at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport. In 2009 he was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust where he is developing and leading on the day surgery Service.
