Monday - Friday trip to Rhyl

Found the local Pure Gym and upgraded my membership so I could get 3 sessions in ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Kept on track with my food by getting an Asda shop delivered, although there was quite a few supermarkets around that I could top up with throughout the week

Ellie and Lily had a great time ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ–๏ธ

Week 2 is done โœ…

Bit of hunger towards the end of the week but managed to just about handle it ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Leg DOMS most of the week as I added steps ups to my leg day and my legs were not ready ๐Ÿคฃ

Pleased with the results so far and just need to keep taking it day by day and tick the boxes

No changes on my plan for week 3 ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

Few challenges ahead around work but all I can do is my best

Thankfully hasnโ€™t cut my calories yet ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Feeling good and got a good routine going over this first week

I was pretty hungry at the beginning of the week but itโ€™s dying down a bit now

Still hungry but a bit more manageable

Fitting steps and the gym in around work will be tough next week so this week is about maximising what I can

Ellie ๐Ÿถ is happy to help with the steps and sheโ€™s also offered to eat any snacks Iโ€™m not allowed - sheโ€™s so helpful ๐Ÿ˜†

Day 3 of an 8 week shred for me ๐Ÿ™ˆ

My coach wanted different photos than I would take so here they areโ€ฆ

To help me stay focussed and on track Iโ€™ve done an 8 week calendar on my kitchen cupboard so I can have my info in front of my face every day!

I will record similar info that I give my coach but just helps me to see where I need to focus my energy on over the next few days at any given point

Are my calories on track, where are my average steps at for the week etc etc

Iโ€™ve done a base meal plan of 1400 cals - I wonโ€™t always have these meals and I will probably add in another snack or two somewhere in the day!

Plus I am starting on 1520 cals for week 1 but a great visual for me so I can then swap things in and out and not have to think too much

The easier you make a diet the better - take as much thinking away as possible

I spent most of Saturday cooking 12 meals to freeze ๐Ÿ™ˆ Although some have obviously been eaten since then (along with an Easter Egg before day 1!) but as I always sayโ€ฆ..

Set yourself up for success! โœ…

So I am raring to go and see where I can get in these 8 weeks as Iโ€™ve just maintained my weight since January so time for a tidy up before the summer hits! โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ‘™

I was never really happy with my weight but I loved the lifestyle of working in bars โ€“ eating and drinking all the time. Whatโ€™s not to love?

However that lifestyle led me to look like the left photo for 15 YEARS!!

Overweight, wearing a size bigger to hide my stomach, head only photoโ€™s (Unless taken by someone else) and hours shopping to find something for a night out that I looked โ€˜OKโ€™ in

I may be smiling but really, I was miserable

I knew if I didnโ€™t change my habits and what I was doing I would only get bigger and bigger

I was pushing a size 18 when I decided to make a change

I could no longer shop in normal shops and wear the nice clothes that I wanted to

A super low point in Sept 2016 sparked a trigger and I knew things had to change

I no longer wanted to feel miserable and depressed when getting ready for a night out

Still working in bars, I decided to do some research into how weight loss occurred and what I needed to do

Iโ€™d done a few fad diets in the past but nothing sustainable. This time I knew it had to be different

Luckily I stumbled across the right information of a calorie deficit, so MyFitnessPal became my new friend

This took me about a year and a half - but by doing the correct process I have maintained this for the last 8 years, which is the hardest part of dieting - maintenance

Since then I have trained as a PT and nutritionist and I want to help people like I was, who are stuck in the same situation I was looking for knowledge and answers

When working different shifts and different hours, energy drinks and caffeine become a staple in your life

Itโ€™s just work and sleep ๐Ÿ˜ด

You wake up and feel like youโ€™ve been dragged through a hedge backwards, but you know you can grab a coffee and all will be well for a few hours ๐Ÿคฉ

You get to work and start on an energy drink ๐Ÿฅค

All the way through your shift you are looking for your next caffeine hit to JUST keep you going

Itโ€™s tough but you make it to the end of work, get home and get in bed

Youโ€™ve been feeling tired all day and now you canโ€™t sleep ๐Ÿ˜ณ

A million thoughts going through your head

Tossing and turning then finally you get to sleep a few hours before your alarm is about to go off again

Then wake up and repeat until your day off when you know you can get that lie in and catch up on much needed sleep

How often do you do this?

Occasionally?

Really? I bet itโ€™s every weekโ€ฆ.

This is no way to live ๐Ÿ˜ฉ
