Have you ever asked yourself “What Can I Eat for Type 2 Diabetes?”

After high demand we are happy to confirm we will be running a free NHS workshop solely focused on Food and Type 2 Diabetes in Irlam.

We have worked in partnership with Irlam Leisure Centre to secure a space on Wednesday 17th July.

If you have an Irlam or Salford GP and have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes you can book onto this workshop.

A highlight of the week!!! Our Diabetes Dietitian Rachael was out representing The Salford Diabetes Team in the community again with an information stand at Langworthy Cornerstone, promoting the range of FREE Type 2 diabetes workshops.
This enabled members of the local community and local services to come and say hello and ask any questions about Type 2 diabetes education.

Salford Type 1 diabetes peer support meet up - Thursday 23rd November 6.30-9pm.

Guest speakers confirmed. We have volunteers who have diabetes talking through how they manage their sporting activities.

So far representing: GOLF ⛳️; CYCLING 🚴🏻‍♂️; and WEIGHTLIFTING 🏋️‍♂️

We will be laying the basic foundations of activity management with case studies - delivered by your expert diabetes team 🤓

So if you move, are active, participate in sports - this event is for you!
