📢 Practice Closure - Training

On Thursday 26 February 2026, our practice will be closed from 1.30pm for essential staff training.

During the afternoon closure, patient care will be provided by Salford Primary Care Together. They will support all urgent health needs, including:

✅ Same Day Urgent Care
✅ Acute Prescriptions
✅ Face-to-Face and Remote Consultations
✅ Urgent Home Visits where clinically appropriate

February is Rare Disease Month and we kick it off with feeding tube awareness!

Adults with cystinosis may have questions and concerns about feeding tube placement and how it can assist in better quality of life.

Keep checking our social media for an upcoming session with our adult peers at G-PACT (Gastroparesis Patient Association for Cures and Treatments, Inc) for knowledge and support in nutrition by feeding tube/TPN.

Feeding tube placement can lengthen and increase quality of life for adults with cystinosis when our condition progresses with the following symptoms:

• severe swallowing difficulty

• increased dysphagia and dysmotility

• neurological complications like stroke and paralysis

Gastroenterology doctors can place feeding tubes or refer one to the proper surgeon.
