Today is 🐾

We are so lucky to have therapy pets galore at Bandrum, often when people choose to come and live with us leaving their pets behind is a heartbreaking 💔 experience.
We are very lucky to be able to welcome family two and 4 legged visitors in the home, cafe and expansive grounds- perfect for a dog walk.

And when it can’t be their own company we all the paws and fur power we need to cuddle the days away with.
Our staff get as much from theses furry visits as our residents do - so a big thank you to our Paw 🐾 Patrol for the important job you do.

Environment is so important for so many reasons and here at Bandrum we understand just how important it is.

From the protected species that call here home. Red squirrels, 🐿️ House Martins 🐦 to the shy deer, 🦌 and Pine Martins, the remind us every day that we need to protect the environment to preserve the world we live in, from woodland walks to fitness miles and chats with friends, our eco system is top priority when we think of any change or progress here at Bandrum.

We have had so many visits and events it’s almost too good to share but Easter 🐣 lasts for another two weeks so we will get round to it .

Easter is off with a big hop this week in the Café 🐰 with some fantastic treats from the lovely Bonnie Bakes By Karen. 🧁 We have also had S.B in enjoying some of our Easter crafts that we offer. 🎨 But most excitingly our Summer Menu has launched bringing with it some healthy fruit options 🍓, new fruit coolers (taste test approved 😋 by the Domestic team) and bringing back last year’s favourites… Brodies Iced Teas! 🌞

This weeks campaign shines the spotlight on collaboration. Bandrum is truly unique in its structure with so many roles and teams as well as care. From laundry to finance, IT to the kitchen, reception to HR and domestics to estates 🏡 collaboration is crucial in everything we do to provide the continuity and drive we have to provide excellence in care for our residents and every other organisation we collaborate with on this journey.

Music has so many benefits for our residents. Be it triggering memories, movement and coordination.

But our favourite one is FUN 🤩

This crew blow the roof off what tunes, dance and laugher every weekend. It has absolutely become a staple date in the diary our night out “In”
We are blessed with our lifestyle who not only make sure everyone has a rip roaring time, the are also fantastic at making shapes on the dance 💃🏼 floor and aren’t shy when it comes to an open mic 🎤.

A notice about slightly changed opening hours on Wednesday give us the perfect time to share what our cafe means to us.

Not only is it a beautiful place for our staff and residents to “dine out “at home, and to share chat with friends and family and for teams to meet and bond.

It is a space for the community to come to us and for us to bridge the gap between our home and the community. An opportunity for us to open our space for charities, events and occasions .

It is the ❤️ of our home and of our community.
