Our annual Christmas 🎄 board catch up took place on Friday, looking back over a great year and planning for the year ahead. Filled with gratitude for all that our team do and for the wonderful residents who choose us as their home ❤️💎
Times are challenging in a lot of ways and it’s not an easy job to manage the impact, but we are committed to excellence and that is what we will always strive towards. 💎
This year is extra special as Bandrum enters its Ruby Anniversary year. ♦️

🙏This Sundays sharing is another thanks. 🙏🏻

It’s no secret that times are challenging for Business right now and that’s another reason Bandrum supports local businesses. But what really blows us away is just how much they support us.
Montgomery's Quality Butchers not only supplies us with consistent great quality food, and the delicious burgers 🍔 ans sausage rolls we serve on our menu and in the cafe. The also have been a huge to support to all of our Friends of Bandrum charity fundraising events.
Every delicious sizzling thing that we sell from the BBQ at our summer fayre or Art exhibition has been donated by them, so the impact the have on the home goes above and beyond in so many ways. We are extremely grateful for their support and can’t recommend them enough.

The cleanliness of our home is something that we are lucky enough to be able to pride ourselves on, thanks to our brilliant team of professionals who keep every inch of Bandrum clean 🧽 and tidy, bedding and clothes washed and every surface you can see gleaming and safe.
It’s something that visitors always comment on and it shows in our grades just what a wonderful job manager Chris Lees and his team do every single day .

✨And so it begins, the next shout out of the New Year✨

Bandrum takes a village to run and we see a lot of people who do front of house roles. So today’s thanks goes to our fantastic team in the kitchen who work continuously every single day of the year to cater for every meal, snack, special occasions and everything in between. Keeping residents healthy and happy as well as being on top of the many regulations needed to be met it’s an enormous task and the do it so very well ❤️
They really are the beating heart of the home.

Christmas Day was Merry indeed and We have been so lucky to be spoiled by Santa 🧑‍🎄 and his misses ! But if it’s not your favourite time of year or maybe you just need a money or two, where better to go and soothed by sunshine in the stunning woodland walk today.

My mum was a resident of Bandrum , Meadowview unit from July 2024 to Aug 2025 . I can say without a doubt that my mum was cared for like one of their own! Mum kept thinking she was coming home! When we were leaving after a visit , the team had to regularly have to distract her so we could leave without mum having a meltdown! The team always took the time to update you on what they had been doing with the residents whilst you hadn't been in. If there were any health concerns they were on the phone immediately and informed you of what they were doing or asking what you wished to to be done! When it was near the end for Mum they were a great support for all the family. They helped us immensely as Mum decided to pass on Bank holiday weekend! I would also like to say , Care Inspectorate only see's a little of what happens in a care home , yes they measure certain aspects! But the people that matter are the humans that look after our humans ! 100% out of 100% to them
And 5 stars for every category”

🫶🌟This Sunday’s Share 🫶🌟

Some beautiful words this morning from Donna Ashworth as we enter the last few days of the year. Some don’t want to let them go while others would give them away.

Naturally here at Bandrum we have many hard or sad days and loss is never lost on us. But we have so many beautiful glimmers to see us through.

And with all the special souls who live with us it’s impossible not to smile your way through the day.

Today I wanted to thank all the staff who made Christmas wonderful yesterday - for the weeks of preparation and planning, and for everyone in on the day, to our very own Santa and Mrs Clause - it was such a lovely day. I thoroughly enjoyed being in, and seeing you all at your best and how you made every resident’s day special. So lovely
