It was nice to be back in the workshop last night doing some stitching something which feels like it hasn’t been on the cards for a while.

Whilst my car is currently out of action I decided to bring in my car mascot into the workshop, Redberry is my who’s been with me for years and also a tribute to my best friend who I no longer have Red.

He supervised my making of two breastplate straps and replacing the strap on this cartridge bag with the clients stable belt. It’s always a job I enjoy doing and it’s a privilege to be trusted to work with peoples sentimental items.

Today has been back to unpacking saddle deliveries in preparation for a busy weekend fitting 🐴

I may have been a bit quiet on social media over the last few weeks but I have been far from quiet. Fitting is busy and the workshop is busy, let along trying to fit content creation and posting!

But today was spent with this little one exploring Grandmas garden and most importantly seeing next doors Donkey! All in her new ceceandmesalisbury wellies that we were lucky enough to pick up today, thank you again Lucy 😍

With this rain that we have finally all been waiting for, the September flush is coming through in full force. Don't leave it too long to get your saddle checked.

I currently still have a few more slots available for saddle fitting appointments!

New and second-hand saddles.

Weekday and weekend appointments available. I am still offering evening appointments while we still have the lighter evenings!

The last couple of weeks has been particularly full on.

🙏I am incredibly grateful for all the wonderful support and busy diary but my goodness I am exhausted! 😰

On top of fitting, I also spend many hours searching 🔎 and ordering saddles, organising 📦 deliveries when they arrive which involves unpacking and finding space for it all and then re-packaging everything that needs to go back again.

As well as many hours spent in the workshop getting repairs done too 🪡 . Alongside all the paperwork, messages and advice.

I absolutely love to help you all and to know we are all on the same page for making sure our horses are welfare is top priority but for me to be able to help you all best, I also need to take a break.

That said, I will not be working tomorrow or Saturday, messages will be replied to Sunday or more likely Monday as I have a full day fitting Sunday. So please bear with me, I will get back to you all 🧡

The realities of being self-employed! 🤪

This weekend, I had originally set out to be off on Sunday and Monday and to have finished all my bench work…

Instead, Saturday night was spent stitching 🪡after a day of fitting. Sunday’s diary was full and there is one to do on Monday morning.

Not to mention all the paperwork 📋, sending invoices, paying invoices, replying to messages 📩 and planning for the forthcoming week 🗓️.

Someone really should complain to HR about these working conditions… 😅

Saying that, after my appointment tomorrow I will be taking the rest of the day off. Messages will be replied to on Tuesday (or Monday evening if I just can’t help myself).

Please be patient, I am a one man band taking on the roles of service provider, operations manager, accountant, HR and most importantly mummy, which takes priority, so I will be taking the time to spend a few hours with my family! 🥰
