Due to an IT issue across Wiltshire GP practices, we are unable to access shared drives, user profiles and applications.

This is affecting services such as referrals, uploading correspondence into patient records, providing Med3 (sick notes). We are also unable to access the software to perform, ECGs, ABPMs and Spirometry.

We have sadly have to cancel these appointments for today and there may be a delay in rearranging.

We do not have a lead time for resolution, but will keep you updated via our social media page

Please note due to summer holidays there will be no Carers Café on Tuesday 5th August 2025. The monthly sessions will resume on Tuesday 2nd September 2025, 10.00-11.30am in the café at Salisbury Medical Practice.

All men are invited for a scan when they turn 65 to check for an aortic abdominal aneurysm.

Older men are most at risk from an abdominal aortic aneurysm. Screening is quick and painless and helps detect an aneurysm before it’s too late.

If you missed your appointment, contact your nearest centre by searching at nhs.uk/service-search/other-health-services/abdominal-aortic-aneurysm-screening

Cervical screening is moving from 3 to 5 year intervals for those aged 24-49 who are at low risk of developing cervical cancer. Anyone who has had a recent history of an HPV positive test, or any changes to cells, may also be followed up more often – even if they are negative on their next test.

This decision is based on strong clinical evidence and recommended by the UK National Screening Committee, bringing England into line with Scotland, Wales and other countries across Europe.

Are you thinking about weight loss medications? Weight loss medications mimic gut hormones released after eating, telling the brain you are full.

Weight loss medication should be taken under medical supervision and only be used as part of a healthy, balanced diet and increased physical activity.

Not everyone is eligible, we will contact you if these medications are available to you through the NHS and advise how to access them.
