✨ Eid Mubarak! ✨

Today marks Eid al-Fitr, bringing the month of Ramadan to a close for many within our community. As a time of fasting, reflection, and generosity comes to an end, Eid is an opportunity to gather with loved ones, share meals, and celebrate renewal and gratitude.

We recognise that colleagues, customers, friends and followers may mark this special occasion in different ways, whether through prayer, spending time with family, or taking a moment to pause and reflect after the past month.

To everyone celebrating, we wish you a peaceful and joyful Eid.

We recently dropped off a donation of incontinence products to our local Salisbury Foodbank 💙

Not only did we get to support a brilliant cause, but we also had such a lovely chat with the amazing volunteers and manager, Maria who keep everything running. Leanne even grabbed a photo!

We’re now thinking about ways to get more involved, from volunteering to joining their community drives at places like Waitrose and M&S, there are some great opportunities for us to support side by side.

It’s always inspiring to connect with people who care as much as we do, if you would like to volunteer or find out more, visit their website here: https://salisbury.foodbank.org.uk

Did you know staying hydrated supports almost every system in the body?

Water plays a vital role in digestion, brain function, joint health and even wound healing. Staying well hydrated can also help reduce fatigue and prevent infections.

For some older people, especially those living with certain health conditions, recognising thirst can become more difficult. That’s why our care teams at Bluebird Care help encourage regular drinks throughout the day, whether that’s water, tea, smoothies or favourite drinks.

Small reminders and supportive routines can make a huge difference to someone’s health and wellbeing.

This Nutrition & Hydration Week, we’re celebrating the simple habits that help our customers stay healthy at home.

Every person’s needs are different. If you’d like to find out how our care team can support nutrition, hydration and daily wellbeing at home, get in touch today.

It’s Nutrition & Hydration Week!

This week (16–22 March) organisations across health and social care are coming together to highlight just how important good food and hydration are for health and wellbeing.

At Bluebird Care, supporting our customers to eat well and stay hydrated is part of everyday care. From preparing nutritious meals to encouraging regular drinks throughout the day, our care teams help people maintain their independence, energy and overall wellbeing at home.

Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference, a warm meal, a cup of tea together, or a gentle reminder to drink more fluids.

Because great care isn’t just about support, it’s about helping people live well.

If you or a loved one could benefit from support at home, our friendly team is here to help.

If you know us, you’ll know our Operations Director, Melony Fairchild has a serious love for all things Jellycats, not just one, but the whole adorable gang! So of course, we had to bring a little Jellycat magic into our celebrations 🧸💚

Wishing everyone a day full of luck, laughter, and lots of smiles! 🍀

Hydration can be creative too!

Some people, particularly those living with dementia, can struggle to drink enough fluids. That’s where innovative ideas like Jelly Drops come in.

These colourful sweets are made with around 95% water and added electrolytes, helping people top up their fluid intake in a fun and engaging way. They’ve already helped thousands of people stay better hydrated.

At Bluebird Care, we’re always exploring ways to make hydration easier and more enjoyable for our customers, whether that’s offering favourite drinks, creating social moments around refreshments, or introducing new ideas like hydration treats.

Because staying hydrated should be simple, enjoyable and accessible for everyone.

Our care professionals help customers stay safe, healthy and independent in the comfort of their own homes.
