GOOD NEWS! LISTEN TO YOUR FEET

Where can you get to physically without your legs/feet? Your thoughts are as good as mine. You may be taking for granted the amount of stress you pound on your feet. These stresses may manifest as discomfort in other parts of your body.
Listen to your feet and treat and condition them because they may be telling you more about your health than you are aware of.
A friend shared the attached form with me last week and that got me digging some more because I've had recently had some few issues with my feet. What I learnt quite intrigued me.
Reflexology is more than a mere foot massage; it deals with the extremities/peripherals like the hands and ears.
Some of the benefits of reflexology include its ability to stimulate nerve function, increases energy, boosts circulation, induces a deep state of relaxation, eliminates toxins, stimulates the central nervous system, prevents migraines, cleans up urinary tract conditions, speeds recovery after injury or surgery, helps relieve sleep disorders, reduced depression, and relieves pain. Furthermore, it can help ease the treatment of various cancer and even helps to soothe the pains of pregnancy, even those occurring after the baby is born.
Guess it's time to give your feet some TLC.

SMART WEEKEND EATING : EAT MORE BURN MORE

We all look forward to the weekend because it presents the occasion to enjoy the company of loved ones, swap stories from the week, and often importantly eat LOTS of food Even if there is funeral.

You don't need to overly worry about feeling bloated, tired and having to deal if "weekend fat" if you know the tricks to eating smart.

Did you know that after eating protein, your metabolic rate increases by about 30%? That means if you eat 100 calories of protein, you would burn off 30 calories by digesting the food alone leaving your body with just 70 calories to absorb.

In comparison, your metabolic rate only increases by about 10% on eating carbs, and just 5% with fat.

That’s why I recommend filling up at least half of your plate with lean protein with awesome examples being grass-fed beef, eggs (organic if possible), chicken, lean cuts of steak, and lean turkey breast or lentils, cottage cheese, plain greek yogurt, quinoa, or beans If you are vegetarian.

Protein is also extremely important when it comes to fat loss. Eating more protein helps boost your metabolism and maintain lean muscle, which in turn forces your body to burn off more fat.

It I fact gives you the best of both worlds because you can actually eat MORE and burn off more belly fat. Toast to smart eating.

5 VERY CLEVER CLEANING TIPS

1) Clean Tough Stains On Stove Burner Grates

Whenever you cooking using the stove, spatters of oil and grease get heated over and over again until they just become this dirty coat of spatters that won’t come off. Clean your stove burner grates with ammonia. Put the dirty grates inside a Ziploc bag with ammonia and leave it outside overnight. The ammonia fumes will clean all the dirt away.

2) Remove The Stench Of Mildew From Your Towels

You can also remove the bad smell of mildew from your towels with the help of vinegar. Wash your towels in the washer on a hot cycle and add a cup of vinegar. If after the wash cycle you’re still not satisfied, you can wash it again. But this time, add a half cup of baking soda.

3) Clean Your Grout Lines And Make Them Look Like Brand New Again

Tile grout is fairly easy to clean, if you know the right way how. You just need to mix baking soda (3 parts) with 1 part water and create a thick paste. Apply this to the grout lines, and then spray it with water and vinegar solution. Once the solution stops bubbling, you can start scrubbing it with an old toothbrush

4) Remove the hard water from your faucet and sink

Hard water deposits look dirty and unsightly. However, you can use vinegar to clean and brighten your sinks and faucets. All you need to do is soak a piece of cloth in vinegar and place it over the spot with hard water deposits. Let it soak for an hour or so. After which, you can scrub it with a sponge.

5) Use salt in cleaning your iron
Even iron can have build-up over time. Whether it’s from melted buttons or clothing stains, gunk can get transferred from the fabric to your iron. Remedy this by sprinkling salt on a sheet of paper. Run the iron (should be warm enough) on the salt a few times to remove stains and residue. When that’s done, let the iron cool and wipe it clean with a cloth.
