SMART WEEKEND EATING : EAT MORE BURN MORE
We all look forward to the weekend because it presents the occasion to enjoy the company of loved ones, swap stories from the week, and often importantly eat LOTS of food Even if there is funeral.
You don't need to overly worry about feeling bloated, tired and having to deal if "weekend fat" if you know the tricks to eating smart.
Did you know that after eating protein, your metabolic rate increases by about 30%? That means if you eat 100 calories of protein, you would burn off 30 calories by digesting the food alone leaving your body with just 70 calories to absorb.
In comparison, your metabolic rate only increases by about 10% on eating carbs, and just 5% with fat.
That’s why I recommend filling up at least half of your plate with lean protein with awesome examples being grass-fed beef, eggs (organic if possible), chicken, lean cuts of steak, and lean turkey breast or lentils, cottage cheese, plain greek yogurt, quinoa, or beans If you are vegetarian.
Protein is also extremely important when it comes to fat loss. Eating more protein helps boost your metabolism and maintain lean muscle, which in turn forces your body to burn off more fat.
It I fact gives you the best of both worlds because you can actually eat MORE and burn off more belly fat. Toast to smart eating.
