Braemar Lodge Care Home Takes on a 501-Mile Challenge

We are overjoyed to announce that Braemar Lodge have chosen Salisbury Hospice Charity as their Charity of the Year!

The incredible residents, staff, families, and friends of Braemar Lodge have set out on a truly inspiring mission: to walk the distance from Salisbury to Braemar in Scotland, a whopping 501 miles!

From short strolls in their beautiful new garden to full laps of Victoria Park, every step adds up – and every step brings them closer to their goal.

The team haven’t stopped there! Braemar Lodge have hosted quizzes, Summer Garden Parties, and more, raising vital funds and spreading awareness for Salisbury Hospice Charity.
We couldn’t be more grateful for this partnership, and we can’t wait to celebrate their amazing achievement of 501 miles!

Karen at Tesco Salisbury Extra has taken on a sponsored silence for the whole of September, raising an incredible £362.95 so far, to support patients and families receiving care through Salisbury Hospice.

With two weeks to go, every pound brings comfort and care to people facing life’s toughest moments. If you’re shopping, why not say hello to Karen and add a few £'s in support of her challenge.

"I started running back in May when my daughter, Harriett, invited me on a run and I haven’t stopped since. I’m running the Cheltenham Half Marathon in memory of some of my best friends and family."
