It's coming round to that time again.... seasonal vaccination time! 🤩❄️☃️☔🌡️💉🤩

Vaccines are safe and thoroughly proven ways to help you, your community and the national population be as protected as possible from some pretty nasty illnesses. We have some of the best availability for vaccines in the world, so we do encourage you to take up the opportunity if it's right for you. It's always a personal choice, but this protective healthcare is researched and invested in UK wide for a very good reason... it works!

This year the government research has forecast that the best times for the roll-out of Flu vaccines will be from September and COVID-19 vaccines from October - so if you're eligible, please take up the invitation we'll be sending you, or get in touch with us to enquire later this month.

Yes the Summer Holidays are well underway! 🥰🤩🐒💆‍♀️🤸‍♂️🚵🎉🎈🕶️🎡🎪
It might be intermingled with moment of pure chaos and calm in your house, so having a little down-time on a mobile device, phone or tablet might be a very useful go-to for bringing a few moments of calm to your brood. Who could blame you!?!

The helpful folk at Internet Matters have put together a very helpful range of tools to help you help your gang stay safe online. ℹ️ Our tip? Check out their tools for your age/stage of child and then start drip-feeding those healthy and internet-safe messages into your daily routines.

You don't have to cover everything in one monologue, but by tooling-up yourself , you'll be equipped to help them develop their internet-safety for the future.

Crying babies can be really challenging, no matter who you are. 👶🧑‍🍼🤦‍♂️💆‍♀️
Our brains are wired to be bothered by the crying, so that we respond and provide care - but it can also get too much sometimes. Babies cry, you can cope. It's OK.

If you ever feel a babies crying is getting to you:

1. Check they are safe
2. Walk away and have a little breather so you can feel calm again. Take some breaths away from the baby, check your stress level and go back in a few minutes.

It's OK to walk away, because the alternative can be loosing control and harming the child with permanent lasting brain damage or death. It's a sign of strength when you recognise that you need to walk away - so be encouraged through this really tough time - it doesn't last forever and you will get though this!

Talk to someone if you feel you might need some support - there's friendly and non-judgemental support available from a midwife, health visitor, nurse, GP, friend or family member.
