✨ It’s been another busy (and brilliant) week here at SM Safety Training & Consultancy Ltd!

🚀 We kicked off with the NEBOSH General Certificate course, welcoming a mix of serving personnel from the Royal Navy ⚓, RAF ✈️, and British Army 🎖️, alongside veterans making the most of their ELCAS funding to take the next step in their health & safety careers.

Out in the field, our Health & Safety Consultant Lee Williams has been on the road, supporting our carehome client in Weston-super-Mare with audits and risk assessments, and visiting A World of Furniture across their three busy sites to help keep standards high and compliance strong.

📚 Next week, we’re packing up course materials ready for our NEBOSH General Certificate starting 22nd September, putting the final touches to our NEBOSH HSE Managing Stress at Work course, which is starting on 15/09/25, and…

🌴✈️ Even on holiday, the health and safety brain never switches off!

Currently sat in a bar in Turkey, enjoying the sun, the beer… and then my eyes wander to the electrics. 🧐

Cue the internal monologue:
👉 “Is that an extension lead running over a palm tree?”
👉 “Why are those wires taped together with what looks suspiciously like duct tape?”
👉 “6 extension leads dasiy chaining which looks like a spiders nest… oh my word!”

Do any other health and safety professionals struggle to just relax when you spot stuff like this? Or is it just me who needs a ‘risk assessment’ on switching off my own mind? 😅

This week at SM Safety Training & Consultancy Ltd, we’re celebrating some fantastic successes!

We started Monday with our NEBOSH HSE Managing Stress at Work course, where all 10 students passed with excellent results. A brilliant way to begin the week!

We also delivered IOSH Managing Safely courses for both Cargo Store Worldwide Ltd and Majestic Carehome. It was a great mix of learners from different backgrounds, and every one of them passed, helping us maintain our 100% pass rate this week.

On top of that, we’ve proudly enrolled two ex-military veterans who are looking to take their health and safety careers to the highest level by starting their Level 6 NVQ in Health and Safety with us.

A huge well done to all our learners, your hard work truly pays off. And as always, thank you to our brilliant trainers and supportive clients who make these achievements possible.
