Had a lovely new client today for a back, neck and shoulders massage. At the end of the session he said I really ought to insure my hands because the treatment was “thoroughly brilliant.”

It made me smile and reminded me of those stories I read as a child about celebrities insuring the body parts they were most proud of.

So just for fun… if you could insure one part of your body, what would it be? (Polite answers only, please 😊)

Following on from my post about hot stone massage…

During Covid I found myself completely absorbed in painting large, smooth stones and gifting them to friends. Such a small thing, but it genuinely lifted people’s spirits (mine included).

I don’t paint anymore, but I still love how certain practices find us exactly when we need them.

Is there a hobby you once loved but don’t do anymore? 😊

😊 Hot stone massage is the perfect antidote 😊

The weather has been wild lately: from a red warning during Storm Goretti (complete with a government emergency alert going off mid-massage!) on 8 January to Storm Ingrid’s wind and rain causing damage again last weekend – it’s been a reminder of how wild the elements can be.

Inside my treatment room though, it’s warm, calm, and safe ✨
If you’re feeling the chill or carrying tension, a hot stone massage is the perfect escape.

Cosy up, switch off, and let the heat melt it all away. 🔥

I’m looking forward to attending this mindfulness session on 31 January at 10.30am in Saltash Studios.

I think we can all benefit from pausing in safe space with professional guidance. I see it as an extra tool for our wellness kit. 🍃🧰

Mindfulness for Busy Minds
Does your mind ever feel busy, scattered, anxious or relentlessly self-critical?
Many of us try to cope by pushing thoughts away or battling with them — but that struggle rarely works.
Mindfulness offers a different way. Instead of fighting the mind, we learn to meet it with greater compassion, understanding and care. This gentle shift can have a powerful impact on our everyday wellbeing.
You’re warmly invited to explore these ideas through guided mindfulness practices and reflection.
✨ Practices can be done sitting, standing or lying down
✨ No previous experience required
These monthly sessions are led by Sarah-Linda, an experienced mindfulness teacher and Cramleigh contributor.
📍 Open to ages 18+, Saltash Studios, £10

🪷 Just breathe 🪷

By following my page, you would know by now, that relaxing your body and mind in a soothing massage treatment regulates your heart rhythm, reduces emotional stress, and enhances sense of wellbeing.

But the most accessible thing for everyone to regulate their nervous system is through breath. We can self-soothe, and bring the feeling of calm by simply pausing and becoming aware of our breathing.

Slowly breathing in through the nose and breathing out through the nose, gently following the breath, has a beautiful grounding effect. Especially if I combine it essential oils. When I’m anxious I breathe out through the mouth. I’m still working on making my exhale longer than the inhale.

Only couple of minutes of focused breathing will soothe your nervous system – anytime and anywhere. Tried and tested. 🥰

🪷 When balance returns 🪷

I approach wellness through the mind-body connection, recognising how emotions and physical tension often go hand in hand.

Massage puts your mind and body in sync. When they’re relaxed together, everything just flows better.

Reading words in one of the recent reviews truly fills my heart. It’s always an honour to support someone on their wellbeing journey and to know they felt more relaxed, balanced, and supported.

☕️ Brewing joy in every cup ☕️

There’s something hard to beat about good coffee (especially when it comes with a nice slice of cake). We’re really lucky to have so many great cafés in Saltash, each one worth visiting for its own little speciality.

Today I popped into Olivia’s Brews & Bites for a beautiful bap, filled right to the brim with proper butcher’s sausages and bacon. Absolute perfection. While I was there, I overheard someone call it a bread roll and someone else said breadcake!

It got me wondering – what do you call it? Bap, roll, breadcake… or something else entirely? 🥓🥐

💖 A little bit about me 💖

Massage therapy isn’t just my job, it’s my way of helping people reconnect with themselves.

I come from a culture where it is part of overall wellbeing. While studying psychology, I also trained in massage therapy because I’ve always believed health is holistic. Mind and body are deeply connected.

What I love most is the one-to-one connection. Every client brings a different story, so every treatment is unique. Seeing someone leave feeling lighter and more at ease makes it all worth it.

Outside the treatment room, you’ll probably find me out walking in nature, watching performances or being creative (photography, art, and gardening keep me grounded and inspired). ✨

I’m happy to answer any enquiries and book your next massage session. 💬😊

👋 Hello 2026 👋

I’ve stepped into new year full of aliveness. I recharged my emotional batteries in Turkey, a wonderful trip infused with colours and aromas … honey and cats. 😁

I really enjoyed my stay more than I could have imagine. I like Turkish coffee, fruity apple tea (elma cayi), salty youghurt drink (ayran), aniseed-flavoured spirit (raki), and of course, Turkish delight. Turkish Baths and the whole Hamam experience (brushing/cleaning/massage) is divine.

Massage is so therapeutic and promotes holistic wellbeing. I’m so happy I found my calling in offering massage therapy, and very much look forward to welcoming you back next Monday to help you on your wellness journey. 🤗
