After 36 years as a doctor I shall be retiring in March when I turn 60. I started with my wife Carolyn at Loftus Surgery in 1996 (after a couple of years in an African mission hospital;fmh.org.uk) and I have been at Staithes since 2014. It has been a privilege sharing your lives and I shall miss the community which has made me so welcome.

Carolyn and I will be travelling to USA to see our son and looking forward to our daughter’s wedding next year. I shall continue to volunteer with the Mountain Rescue team (clevelandmrt.org.uk) and we will be off exploring the UK in our van.

I wish the surgery and the community all the best and we will no doubt be in Staithes for walking, cafes and art in the future.

We are Recruiting - Practice Healthcare Assistant, part-time 30hrs £13.20 per hour

We are looking for an experienced, competent Practice Healthcare Assistant who can provide essential support to the clinical team, including GPs, Practice Nurse and other healthcare professionals. The role involves a range of patient-facing and administrative duties, supporting both clinical care and the smooth running of the practice.
