My working hours have now changed to allow me to keep going for as long as possible. They are:
Monday mornings
Tuesday afternoons and evenings
Wednesday evenings (Upsall polework clinic - bookings via horsevents http://h-ev.uk/?E=46011 )
Thursday mornings OR afternoons
Friday afternoons and evenings

Availability within these times will be area-specific so I can be as efficient as possible.

As for a time scale- basically until I physically can’t 😅

A polite reminder that appointments are to be paid for either by cash at the time of the appointment or bank transfer the evening before, unless we have made prior arrangements.
If I should need to reschedule your appointment BACs payments can either be refunded the same day or carried forward to the new appointment.

There are currently a number of outstanding payments that I should not have to chase.

A reminder for riders on the road- your Hi-Viz is only effective to drivers approaching you from the front if it’s fastened, i.e visible. 🦺
I’m far more vigilant about horses on the roads than most, but if you’re having a quick ride out after work at this time of year, low light conditions mean brown horses against brown hedge rows/fields with riders in dark clothing and no Hi-Viz on show are impossible to see and therefore slow down for.

Today has served as a HUGE reminder that Equine Sports Massage is for horses from all walks of life🐴.
1️⃣First call saw me with a young, fit show jumper making sure everything looked tip-top between competitions.
2️⃣Second shout of the day was to an ever so slightly older lady who is recovering from surgery. A prolonged period of box rest has meant there has been an accumulation of fluid under her tummy. So after getting the green light from the vet that nothing untoward was going on we set about a top-to-toe treatment with extra focus on aiding lymph drainage in that specific area.
3️⃣After this it was on to a lovely middle-aged all rounder. His owner was concerned that he was struggling with flexion on one rein whilst schooling. After addressing the problem areas we have a plan of action and some homework and will take another look in a couple of weeks.
4️⃣Last call of the day was to an absolute gem of a golden oldie. Now living the steadier life with known arthritis, our aim is to keep her as supple and comfortable as we possibly can, especially during the winter months while there is more time spent stood in the stable.

Remember- massage isn’t just a pamper for your horse. It should be looked at as an essential part of their routine maintenance to aid wellbeing.

I hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas!
I now have a physical 2024 diary 🥳 (better late than never!) so I’m in full swing taking bookings for the New Year.
As most of you will now know I’m out of action for riding until the back end of the summer, however I’m still available as normal for massage treatments and coaching you through any issues from the ground.
