✨ New Year, Calmer Home Life ✨

As a new year begins, many of us are thinking about what we want more of at home - less stress, more connection, and a happier family life 💛

Our 10-week Nurturing Programme, funded by the Scottish Government’s Whole Family Wellbeing Fund, offers a supportive space for parents and carers to pause, reflect, and build practical tools for everyday family life.

🌱 The programme explores:
• Understanding children’s behaviour
• Managing emotions – theirs and yours
• Positive discipline strategies
• Building cooperation and self-discipline
• The importance of self-care

☕ Sessions run weekly for 2 hours, include a tea/coffee break, and are led by trained facilitators. You’re welcome to attend on your own or with a partner, friend, or family member.

If your New Year’s resolution is to find work that’s meaningful, rewarding, and makes a real difference, KO-NEKT’s Introduction to Care could be the perfect first step.

This 12-week, fully funded programme is designed for unemployed adults aged 18+ who want to start a career in health and social care. You’ll build confidence, gain practical experience, and develop the skills employers are looking for - all in a supportive, inclusive environment.

✔ Confidence and workplace readiness
✔ Hands-on experience in care settings
✔ Training in communication, care planning, and wellbeing
✔ Support to move into employment, further training, or education

Funded by the North Ayrshire Council Local Employability Partnership (LEP), this programme removes barriers and opens doors for people ready to make a positive change.

Our naughty elf has been up to mischief - covering the playroom in wrapping paper - and that’s just the start! It’s been a busy festive season filled with crafts, baking, cheeky elves, and Christmas lunches with friends.

The past couple of weeks have flown by, and there’s still so much more festive fun planned before Santa arrives. Phew - what a wonderful whirlwind it’s been!

We’re excited to offer young adults (ages 16–25) the chance to take part in our Life Ready Programme, delivered through KO-NEKT Krew and leading to an accredited Adult Achievement Award. This supportive programme helps build confidence, independence, and practical life skills that prepare young people for adulthood.
