Therapy dog Loki brought big joy and even bigger cuddles to our Day Hospice this afternoon 🐾💙

The gentle giant Leonberger and his owner, Dave, spent time with people living with dementia, sharing calm moments and plenty of smiles.

Dave, Lorna and Norma especially enjoyed Loki’s visit while their carers took part in a Dementia Carers’ Workshop at the Hospice - helping to support them in their vital caring roles.

In case you don't know her, Kate is our amazing Founder & CEO of Her-Place Charitable Trust

Kate founded Her-Place with a personal mission: to make sure women and girls have access to the support, care and understanding they deserve, especially when the system hasn’t worked for them.

With a background in counselling and years of experience supporting women affected by trauma, abuse and complex mental health challenges, Kate brings both professional insight and deep compassion to everything we do. She’s passionate about closing gaps in mental health services and making sure women’s voices are heard and valued. 🫂

Under Kate’s inspiring leadership, Her-Place has grown into a charity led by women, for women, delivering community-based support across Cheshire that empowers, connects and supports women and girls at every stage of their life.

Kate is a very busy lady - she is also an author, a community advocate and a trustee. She often uses her voice to promote equality and wellbeing in the many projects she leads or takes part in. 🗣️

We’re incredibly proud to be led by someone with such vision and determination to help women and girls thrive within Chehire every single day.
