What does overwhelm actually look like?
It doesn’t always look dramatic.
Sometimes overwhelm looks like staring at your to-do list and doing none of it.
Sometimes it’s snapping at people you care about.
Sometimes it’s procrastination, exhaustion, or feeling constantly “on edge.”
It can look like:
• Overthinking every decision
• Feeling mentally exhausted before the day even starts
• Struggling to switch off or relax
• Avoiding tasks that once felt manageable
• Feeling like everything is “too much”
When your mind and nervous system are overloaded, your brain isn’t being lazy or unmotivated, it’s trying to protect you.
The problem is that when overwhelm becomes constant, it can start to affect your confidence, sleep, focus, and overall wellbeing.
The good news is that overwhelm isn’t something you just have to “push through.”
With the right support, you can calm the nervous system, clear the mental noise, and start to feel in control again.
If you’ve been feeling stuck in that cycle, you’re not alone, and it can change.
Holly Blue Hypnotherapy can help you move from overwhelm to calm, clarity and confidence.
