So your vagus nerve might be struggling… now what?

Here are 2 simple ways to give it a nudge in the right direction:

💧 Cold water on your face
Yep — splash it on, or even better, finish your shower cold. It helps switch your nervous system from “fight or flight” to “rest and digest.”

🧘 Slow, deep breathing
Not just any breathing. Try a slow inhale for 4 seconds, and an even slower exhale for 6–8 seconds. This calms the body and tones the vagus nerve.

Small shifts. Big impact.
And if you’re really stuck in stress or symptoms, sometimes the vagus nerve needs a bit more targeted support.

👉Most people who find me are already stuck in flight fight mode.

👉It’s my job to take you out of it.

👉Whether it’s chronic pain, skin issues, gut problems or unexplained fertility issues. You can bet the stress is going to be a big driver.

One of the reasons for therapeutic failure is people are doing too much too soon to an already overwhelmed nervous system.

I see people taking upwards of 10-30 supplements to help heal their gut and it’s doing nothing..

Why…… because the gut and nervous system are overloaded.

👉Blood flow/lymph flow stomach acid these are critical. Think stagnant fluids 💧. If you can’t get blood 🩸 flow to the gut. It just won’t heal.

👉Doing way too much 😳….. I see people taking a lot of supplements often more than 10. This is way too much pressure on the gut, and even though they may be good. It’s just way too much load on a stressed out system, and it’s probably not doing much.

👉You must take the body out of flight or fight mode. The vagus nerve must be worked if you want to restore your gut.

👉Who has a gut problem…..Everyone. Why? Because we are living on this planet, it’s called life.

The vagus nerve, probably one of the most important nerves in the human body 😳.

But what does it do?

👉It control your bodies stress response like fight and flight.

👉So if you are stressed you might want to pay attention to it

👉The word vagus comes from the Latin word vagrant Or wandering nerve because it connects the brain to the gut.

👉if you have a gut issue pssst(that’s most people these days) 😳. Then you need to show it some love ❤️

👉You definitely need to pay attention to it to resolve/help things like IBS, autoimmune problems, colitis etc.

👉There are literally a ton of acupuncture points that stimulate the vagus nerve

👉2 really simple ways of stimulating the vagus nerve are

Singing/ humming will vibrate the vagus. That’s why singing feels good 😊 🎶🎤

How do you know you have a gut issue.

👉Well the easy answer is LIFE.

Modern day living is not great for the human being.

But what causes gut issues?

👉A big one is stress and what’s going on in your life.

👉Stress can decrease stomach acid production which is important for breaking down food and absorbing nutrients

👉It can push your body Into fight and flight mode. Making you run to the loo and create the sense of urgency to go.

My job is to take you out of that stressed state and calm your nervous system.

Other signs of gut issues

👉swollen tongue or funky coatings 👅

👉increased need for sleep or not able to get enough sleep.💤
