In light of Psoriasis Awareness Month, we’re sharing these results.

Guttate Psoriasis causes multiple red, scaly, tear-drop shaped spots on the skin. It affects only around 8% of those with psoriasis and can follow throat or respiratory infections at any age.

During the pandemic, our patient was unable to access urgent hospital phototherapy and was left in severe discomfort. liaised directly with the dermatology team to ensure our treatment mirrored NHS care — prescribing appropriate medication and using light therapy in clinic.

This case highlights the advanced medical side of aesthetics: prescribing, assessing complex conditions, and working alongside NHS consultants to deliver safe, effective treatment.
