Our Encore residents had a wonderful time today preparing and baking delicious cheese twists with our lovely volunteer, Bren! 🧀✨

Baking days are always a favourite here and with December just around the corner, we’re excited to begin some festive treats next week as we get ready for Christmas. 🎄🎅

Spooktacular fun at The Russets and Sherwood 👻🎃

We had a frightfully good time celebrating Halloween with a special performance from Mini Concerts, who got everyone singing and dancing along to favourites like Thriller! 🕺🧟‍♀️

One of our brilliant activities coordinators, Jim, (looking very festive as a pumpkin!) helped bring the magic together.

Over the past few weeks our residents and staff have been busy creating some wonderfully creative Halloween crafts that made our home look fantastic. 👻👩‍🎨

🌸 Here are some more lovely moments from Founders' Week! 🥂

Last week, we had the pleasure of joining Sandford Station retirement village - St Monica Trust for a garden party. Over tea, sandwiches, scones and cake, there was plenty of time to catch up, share stories and enjoy good company.

It was a lovely way to mark 100 years of St Monica Trust and reflecting together on what community really means. 💜

A big thank you to everyone who helped make it such a memorable day!

🎹✨ Founders Week Day 6 – Musical Memories with Helen Wilkins 🎼

Friday brought us another heartwarming highlight as we welcomed back the wonderful Helen Wilkins. A cherished guest over the years, Helen once again delighted us with her masterful piano performance.

Her renditions of classical favourites—including works by Beethoven—had residents singing, swaying, and tapping along with joy.

A beautiful moment of reflection and as we approached the final stretch of our Founders Week celebrations. 💜
