⚽ The pre-match build-up has officially started! ⚽

Some of the people we support have been helping us spread the word about the upcoming football tournament, and as always, they brought plenty of personality with them. 😄

In true Milford Del style, Michael did not hold back with his team analysis… Michael has officially declared Cara “the best” and Malcolm a “lazy worker”… sorry Malcolm, the people have spoken.

No comment from HR at this stage - although Malcolm may now be requesting a right of reply. 😂

All jokes aside, this is exactly what we love: real relationships, real humour and lots of laughter with the people we support. 💜

We’ll be joining Ryde House Group, Spartans, Maximus Support Services, Southern Vectis and Wightoak Youth Services for this year’s annual football tournament, fundraising for the Alzheimer’s Café.

Milford Del Support Agency will be joining Ryde House Group, Spartans, Maximus Support Services, Southern Vectis and Wightoak Youth Services for this year’s annual football tournament! 🏆

This year, we’re fundraising for the Alzheimer’s Café, a wonderful Isle of Wight charity offering a safe, supportive space for people affected by dementia and cognitive decline, along with their families and wider support circles. 💜

This cause means a lot to us, as many of us have seen the impact dementia can have on families, friends and colleagues.

⚽ IT'S TOURNAMENT TIME! ⚽

We're excited to share that Milford Del Support Agency will be lacing up our boots and joining Ryde House Group, Spartans, Maximus Support Services, Southern Vectis and Wightoak Youth Services for this year's annual tournament! 🏆

This year, we're playing for something close to our hearts — we're fundraising for the Alzheimer's Café. 💜

The Alzheimer's Café is one of those truly special places right here on the Isle of Wight where people affected by dementia and cognitive decline can come together, have a cuppa, share their stories, and just... breathe. It's a safe space to learn, feel supported, and get pointed in the right direction — whether you're the person living with a condition, a loved one, or part of someone's wider circle. No judgement. No pressure. Just real, warm, human support delivered with so much heart.

So why this charity? Honestly, because it's personal. So many of us at Milford Del have felt the ripple effect of dementia — in our families, our friendships, our colleagues. We know firsthand what a lifeline a place like this can be, and we want to do our bit to make sure it keeps doing what it does so brilliantly. 🙏

Visiting hospital can sometimes be a daunting experience, and we are always looking for opportunities to make our service more inclusive and accessible for all.

As part of our efforts to continue meeting the needs of our community, the MRI Team here at the Isle of Wight NHS Trust is celebrating achieving the Level 1 Learning Disability Friendly Standards accreditation.

Led by Radiography Assistant Jessica Taton-Kugel, who worked closely with colleagues, patients and the Learning Disability Experts at the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust , the department has now introduced pre-visit opportunities along with several supportive resources.
