Dear Team,

As we head into Christmas 2025, we want to take a moment to pause and offer our heartfelt thanks to every one of our colleagues across the team.

At this time of year, while many are winding down, our colleagues are thoughtfully planning, supporting, and sharing moments with the people we support in their own homes, ensuring they experience comfort, kindness, and care during what can be a very complex time.

We know that Christmas does not look the same for everyone. For some, it brings joy and celebration; for others, it can be a difficult period that requires sensitivity, patience, and careful planning.

Working in health and social care often means being many things at once, advocate, listener, problem solver, and steady presence, and the rewards are rarely a true reflection of the dedication, skill, and compassion this work demands.

Across our organisation, and alongside our health and social care colleagues across the island, the role you play is extraordinary. It shines even more brightly during Christmas, standing in quiet contrast to the glossy, commercial version of the season that surrounds us.

Yours is the work that truly reflects the spirit of Christmas, kindness, generosity, and care for others.
