🐾 Not just for humans… your dog deserves recovery too.

Just like us, dogs can suffer from tight muscles, stiffness, and reduced mobility—especially active breeds, working dogs, or ageing companions.

💆‍♂️ Canine massage therapy can help with:
• Muscle tension & soreness
• Joint mobility & flexibility
• Injury recovery
• Relaxation & stress reduction

This session here is all about keeping this strong, loyal athlete moving pain-free and performing at their best.

Whether it’s long walks, training, or just everyday life—your dog’s body works hard. Let’s look after it properly.

Pain isn’t always as simple as “something is damaged.”

It can be influenced by stress, sleep, fatigue, past injuries and how your body is moving.

That’s why treating pain isn’t just about one area — it’s about understanding the bigger picture.

If you’re dealing with ongoing pain, there’s usually more to the story.

Stretching and mobility often get used interchangeably — but they’re not the same thing.

Stretching focuses on improving muscle length and flexibility, often by holding a position.

Mobility, on the other hand, is about actively controlling movement through a joint’s full range.

Both are important for recovery, performance and injury prevention.

If you want to move well, train well and stay pain free… you need both.

Ever noticed pain that starts in one place… then shows up somewhere else?

That’s often because your body compensates.

If one area isn’t working properly, another area picks up the load — and eventually that’s what starts to hurt.

Sometimes the painful spot isn’t the root cause.

That’s why assessment matters. Treat the source, not just where it’s shouting the loudest.

Is tightness the same as weakness?

Not always.

Sometimes a muscle feels “tight” because it’s working overtime to compensate for weakness somewhere else.

Stretching it might give temporary relief — but if the real issue is weakness or imbalance, the tightness will keep coming back.

That’s why assessment matters. Treat the cause, not just the symptom.

What is lactic acid?

It’s a by-product your body produces during high-intensity exercise when energy demand is high.

That burning feeling during a tough set or sprint? That’s linked to lactate build-up.

But here’s the important bit — lactic acid isn’t what causes next-day muscle soreness. It clears from your system within hours.

Soreness the next day (DOMS) is due to small amounts of muscle damage and inflammation — not lactic acid.

Recovery matters. Understanding your body matters more.

Ever noticed your knees, shoulders or back clicking or cracking?

Most of the time, it’s completely normal. It can be gas bubbles releasing, tendons moving slightly, or small pressure changes inside the joint.

If it’s not painful or swollen, it’s usually nothing to worry about.

But if cracking comes with pain, stiffness or reduced movement — that’s when it’s worth getting checked.

Your body makes noise sometimes… that doesn’t always mean something’s wrong.

How much of a role does nutrition play in injury recovery?

A huge one.

You can have the best treatment plan in the world — but if your body doesn’t have the nutrients it needs to repair tissue, reduce inflammation and rebuild strength, progress will be slower.

Recovery isn’t just about massage or rehab exercises… it’s about what you do outside the clinic too.

If you’re injured right now, ask yourself — are you fuelling your recovery properly?
