The Men’s Circle - East Kent

Here are the photos from July’s Men’s Circle monthly meet-up, which took place last week ⭕️

For the first time in quite a few months, we had a relatively small group of men… If anything, this was a nice way to mix things up as it certainly gave each of us the opportunity to speak a little more, listen as much as possible, and speak back to whatever we heard, all from a place of mutual respect and understanding 😌

The theme for the meet-up was ‘hope’, and there was certainly a lot to be hopeful about. Some men had initially been a little hesitant in sharing some things that were potentially ‘too heavy’, but this in fact has an interesting twist; instead, this seemed to galvanise the group as a whole, and I think the biggest thing that I personally perceived was how each man felt better after having shared, and after having been given the space to share whatever he needed to get off of his chest 😮‍💨

I can only command and respect the honesty and vulnerability on show at the monthly meet-up — kudos to you all, my friends, my brothers 🫵🏻😎

Over the past two weekends, we have been very privileged to have been sponsored by GOGA in Action, Dover for two Nordic walks, one at Betteshanger, and one at Pegwell Bay; our instructor was the lovely Loz, who showed us boys how to do a proper Nordic walk and put us through our paces! 🚶

In truth, the time absolutely flew by, and before we knew it, we had walked around both tracks and were back at the start… what happened in between? Good exercise, good conversation, generally good weather, and lovely views all around! ☀️

Thank you so much to Loz, and the team behind the scenes who organised this for us — you know who y’all are! We hope we can collaborate with you again in the future! 🙏🏻

Any man or woman that’s reading this and feels inspired? Get out there and get active (if you’re able), even if it’s just a brisk walk in the fresh air. Get that blood pumping and flowing. Breathe in the morning air 🧘

It doesn’t cost a thing, but it’s value cannot be measured😎

The date for the next Men’s Circle monthly meet-up has been confirmed: we’ll be meeting on Thursday 31 July, same place, same time as ever… 🗓️

For those who perhaps are only seeing our posts for the first time, this is a men’s gathering. Young men are welcome 🙏
