Baypoint Pickleball Club Update

From 1st September, the club will be managed by Dave Wood, experienced coach, multi-medal winner, and current National Champion in Mixed and Men’s Doubles.

Dave first played at Baypoint nearly 10 years ago and has since competed across the US and Europe. A Pickleball England coach and tutor, he runs Dave Wood Pickleball Coaching and is dedicated to growing the sport.

Club sessions:

🗓 Wednesdays: 6:30–9:30pm

🗓 Fridays: 6–8pm

🗓 Sundays: 10am–12pm

We look forward to welcoming members old and new for sessions and coaching under Dave’s leadership.

We’re so excited to welcome everyone back after the Bank Holiday, remember, HAF will restart on Tuesday 26th August and run until Friday 29th August.

🌟 That’s Week 3 of HAF done! 🌟

A huge thank you to all the amazing organisations who visited our sites this week – Thanet Music Centre, Wild Classroom, Ramsgate Fire Station, St John’s Ambulance, and The STEM Hub. The children absolutely loved every moment, from hands-on music and breadmaking to fire safety, first aid, and rocket building 🚀🎶🔥🍞💚

We’re so grateful for your time and energy in making this week so memorable for the children. 🙌

We’ll be back on Tuesday 26th August (as Monday is the Bank Holiday) for our final week of HAF – with lots more exciting visitors, activities, and fun still to come!

🚑 A big thank you to St John’s Ambulance for visiting our Canterbury Academy HAF site today! 🚑
The children had a brilliant time learning basic first aid skills – from practising CPR to wrapping each other up in bandages (the giggles were endless! 😅). It was such a fun and valuable session, giving the children skills that could one day make a real difference. 💙

🚒 A huge thank you to Ramsgate Fire Station for visiting our Newlands site today! 🚒

The children absolutely loved learning all about the fire engine, the important work the firefighters do, and of course getting the chance to explore the equipment up close 🔥👩🚒👨🚒. It was such an exciting and memorable experience for them!

And we’ve got even more amazing visitors lined up this week, including Thanet Music Centre, St John’s Ambulance, and STEM Hub 🎶🚑🔬
