The Inventors have had a lovely time keeping active this week!🤸🏻‍♂️

Today we took a walk to the park and practiced our climbing skills.
We climbed🧗🏻‍♂️, crawled, walked🚶🏻and rolled. We used our problem solving skills 🧩to figure out how to get through small gaps and over logs🪵 .

We have also been building up our gross motor skills by holding onto the rope net 🪢and hanging upside down.

Yesterday, in adventures we have celebrated earth day! 🌍

We looked at pictures of earth and talked about how it’s made up of (green) land and (blue) sea🌊. When I asked at the end where do we live? they answered “earth”. We had so much fun creating our own planet earth with different material and some messy hand paintings. Well done adventures! 🌟

Potion masters🧪: Bubbling orange brews were on the menu this week.

Space Cadets🪐: Blasting off to explore planets before coming back to create their very own planet.

Mini Masterpieces🎨: Brushing up on our painting skills through painting portraits of our friends.

Were going on a bear hunt🐻: A trip through the treacherous paths of our bear hunt sensory walk.

Treasure Baskets 🧺

We are really excited to share some new themed treasure baskets with our lovely Explorers room! These consist of lots of different textures, shapes, and weights to help our little ones explore the world around them.

"That's not my hedgehog"🦔
From prickly scale pinecones to the soft bristles of brushes, smooth wooden shapes and wicker balls.

"The Snail and the Whale" 🐳
A deep- sea adventure in a basket! We gathered bumpy sensory balls, smooth seashells and shimmery blue fabric.

Hoppy Easter Everyone! 🐣

We have had a lovely couple of weeks celebrating Easter and all things spring! Here's a little look into what we have been up to:

Easter Sensory play 🎨
We had a lovely time exploring our colourful rice, carrot messy play. The children enjoyed talking about carrots and who eats them, they even decided to feed the bunnies some carrots.

Easter egg hunt 🥚
The children had the best time searching every nook and cranny of the garden room for colourful Easter eggs.

Special Delivery for the Easter Bunny 🐇
This Easter was also a very big milestone for some of our brave toddlers who sent their dummies off to the Easter bunny. Well done all for being super brave! 🌟

Drama tots - Spring/Easter🐣

During this week's drama tots the children had lots of fun:
* Balancing eggs on spoons🥚
* Hopping around the room like bunny rabbits with bunny ears 🐇
* Driving tractors around 🚜using our small hoops
* Chatting about sunflower🌻seeds, and how they grow

The children showed great balancing skills when moving around the room with their eggs and spoons and had the best time jumping up and down when we sang 'hop little bunnies'!🎶

Red Nose Day! 🔴

Today we have been celebrating red nose day through doing something funny for money. The staff and children have all loved being involved in this, whether it be face paint, pjamas, or inside out clothes 👕.

We have also been doing lots of fun activities to celebrate red nose day. We have been:
* Making our own red noses 👃🏻
* Taking part in fun messy/sensory play
* Face painting 🖌️
* Painting and more 🎨

Mother’s Day Stay & Play🌸

We had such a lovely time celebrating Mother’s Day with our wonderful families at our Stay & Plays this week! 💖

From painting, gloop, potions, necklace making, and cake making to story time and lots of cuddles, the rooms were filled with lots of lovely smiles and laughter🎨📚

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the stay and play so special.

Wishing all our amazing mums and mother figures a very Happy Mother’s Day! 💐

📚✨ Happy World Book Day! ✨📚

Yesterday our staff fully embraced the magic of stories by dressing up as some of their favourite book characters! It’s been fantastic to see everyone getting involved and celebrating the joy that books bring to people of all ages.

World Book Day is a wonderful reminder of how powerful reading can be sparking imagination, building creativity, and bringing stories to life. 📖

Our team had so much fun sharing their favourite characters and helping make the day extra special for the children 📚

Today we went to our local Residential home. The children enjoyed time there, interacting with the residents showing them our favourite stories, building with the magnetic tiles a variety of different shaped houses and even showed them some gluing and sticking skills. Overall, our first residential trip was a success. We will continue this every other Monday each month.
