Looking forward to offering restorative yoga at Maggie’s from June onwards.
A 5 week restorative yoga workshop will be taking place in the centre beginning on Monday 2nd June from 10am - 11am.
Restorative yoga is gentle and focuses on deep relaxation and rest. The session includes breathwork, soothing floor based restorative poses and Yoga Nidra (guided relaxation and meditation).
In Restorative Yoga lots of props are used (blankets, bolster, blocks etc) to support the body so that we can fully release and allow ourselves to be in poses for extended period of times.
Practising Restorative Yoga allows us to shift from doing to being, to come into the present moment and to experience deep rest. The session is suitable for everyone, all poses can be adapted as needed and all props will be provided.
