Get ready for picture overload people! Because yesterday on Norwood House Christmas Day, we had a special visitor!!! SANTA! and his mischievous elves went around the home to deliver all our very special resident, their Christmas presents.
The day was filled with love, warmth and laughter, families came to visit, tummies were filled with festive food, and by the afternoon the festive movies played, and cosy winter naps were had. A beautiful Christmas Day was had by all 🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄💖🥰.

Thank you to all our wonderful staff who have made Christmas Day and Boxing Day possible, To our our support workers delivering the important care our residents need, to the kitchen for providing a beautiful Christmas Lunch, Domestics keeping the home looking lovely and to the activities team for providing seasonal activities. None of what goes on in our home would be possible without our wonderful teams. Merry Christmas to you all 🎅🏻🎄💖

I don’t know how you guys do Christmas 🎄 Eve, but we at Norwood House, laugh and have so much fun together, we want to make Christmas as special for our dear residents and your loved ones, so in true Polar express style we dressed in our PJs and photo bombed selfies with them which was so much fun.

Today saw Norwood have its 2025 residents Christmas party. Thank you to all family , friends and supporters, who come and joined us this afternoon, a special thank you to Steve Hall : The 1960s ‘Plus’ Show for a fantastic performance, and really making the afternoon fun, it is always a pleasure to have you at Norwood house.
Also to the team in the kitchen for laying on yet another amazingly scrummy spread for us all.
Finally to all our staff who made the effort to dress up for the day, we thank you all, for all your hard work and effort to make these kind of days special for our residents.

Yesterday was another Christmasy day here at Norwood House. While the residents dined for lunch, we arranged for the wonderful Band of the leiston Royal British Legion to perform for them.
It was lovely walking round the home hearing the carols they played, and ours of the residents settled down and joined in with a sing song to some traditional Christmas carols.

The staff at Norwood House have been spreading the festive cheer over the last few weeks, last week we had elf day and this week we had Christmas jumper day, so there has been plenty of silliness going on, keeping our wonderful residents smiling.

And who can forget our resident elf, NORBERT!! who has been less silly and more mischievous!! The poor housekeepers have had their room so elegantly decorated! 🫣. And he’s been daring anyone who walks through the door to undertake the challenge he sets! So far Sara one of our housekeepers is the only one brave enough to take him on! 🎄🎅🏻🧝‍♀️

This year at Norwood we have decided that we wanted to have a traditional Christmas, like it used to be. So we spoke to the wonderful Rev Tim Roger’s who helped us this week, put together a beautiful carol concert, Which we held on Wednesday. It was lovely that so many of the resident and staff joined together to take part.
We would like to say a special thank you to Rev Tim, and to his lovely parishioners from Yoxford and Peasenhall church who took the time to come and help make it come together.

HELLO! From all at Norwood House!
Firstly apologies for the drop in posts lately, it has been rather a busy time, with lots going on In our beautiful home.

And without making it too obvious, Norwood is……..STEPPING INTO CHRISTMAS!!
Through out December we have lots going on:

2/12 - Elf Day!! Look out as the staff will be dressing up. And rumour has it, a certain cheeky little Elf will be coming back to Norwood this year! So keep your eyes pealed for the mischievous Norbert! 🎅🏻🎄🧝🧝🧝

11/12 - Christmas Jumper Day, dig out your favourite Christmas jumper and join the team. 🎅🏻🎄

19/12 - Party time! Get those dancing shoes on and join us for Norwood 2025 Christmas party. 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Details to follow

24/12 - Christmas pyjama Day! Festive pj’s for the count Down to Christmas. 🎅🏻🎄

25/12 - Christmas Day Lunch. If you would like to join your loved one, for Christmas lunch, pop along to reception where the girls will happily add you to the list, further details to follow. 🎄🎅🏻

31/12 - New Year’s Eve, masquerade party, Details to be confirmed. Watch this space. 🎉🎆🎊

Friday there was some spooky goings on at Norwood House, we hit Halloween hard, in house trick or treating, entertainment from the wonderful Gary Bland, and the kitchen provided us with a goulish buffet! The staff dressed up, and fun was had by all. The cheesy bats 🦇 and coffin brownies were 🤤!
So with Halloween behind us, it can only mean one thing!!!! Watch out for ……… CHRIST🎄🤶🎅🏻MAS!! Arriving very soon at Norwood 🫢

Good evening all our scarily spooky followers and supporters! 👻🎃🧛‍♂️

Friday the 31st of October we would love to invite you to our SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWEEN PARTY!. And you all know how Norwood house loves to throw our residents a good party!!

We welcome you to our home from 2:30pm where you can expect to find gowlish going’s on! We will have Games, trick or treating for the little children, and the big kids! ( yes I do mean the adults! 😂) face painting, a wonderful Spookalious buffet!! entertainment from the wonderful Gary Bland, and if that’s not enough, we’ll end with a lock in at our travellers rest bar, where you can try some spooky mocktails, and hit the dance floor.

SO! Dust off your costumes! For the spookiest dressed relatives competition!

It’s been a busy Thursday here at Norwood, Robert, Shirley and Linda, jumped on the bus this morning, and went to one of our favourite spots down at Thorpness, where they enjoyed the warm August sunshine, fed the birds, then enjoyed a picnic lunch over a game of Dominos before returning home to join the other residents in the garden, and competitive game of hook a duck!
We love sunny summer days, a great chance to spend time out in country side and the garden. It certainly does lift everyone’s spirits and mood. 🌞🕶️💖
