Thursday club outing!, this week Dougie, June, Chris and Mario, jumped on the bus to the beautiful seaside town of Southwold, the famous home of Adnams Brewery.
They enjoyed a stroll around the historic town, our resident Artist Mario enjoyed doing one of his favourite things, taking in some art collections. In one of the Galleries, Dougie enjoyed a stroll along the beach whilst having a ice cream, and June rounded up the trip to the pier amusements, who doesn’t love the 2p machines!
Next week’s adventures take us to Framlingham castle.

What a beautiful warm spring day it has been here at Norwood. The sun has shone and the residents have made the most of being able to get outside and enjoy, they has been putting golf, colouring, and having a good old fashioned natter sat out in the garden!.

BUT the biggest thing of the day, was opening up the newly renovated lounge, we hope you and our residents, love what we have been working so hard on. We feel it’s not about just putting a lick of paint on the walls, it’s about creating a warm homely environment, somewhere that feels welcoming, that our residents feel comfortable in, and you as their relative enjoy visiting.
We appreciate it has taken time to get to this stage, and yes things have been a little on top of each other, but we hope that these improvements show how much we care, that our residents feel at home, and actually have a calming environment to live in.

And to Christen the new Lounge we had the ever wonderful come and perform this afternoon, the residents were enjoying the performance, clapping, dancing and singing along! Today was a good day 🥰.

Evening!
So a lot of you know, at Norwood house we have been doing lots of renovations, we have our beautiful new hair salon! But a lot of you have been asking about the lounge! SOOOO! We thought why not give you a give you a little sneak peak! Not much longer and we’ll have the grand opening! We hope you all like it, drop us a comment below and let us know your thoughts.

EVENING!!
How has your week been so far?
At Norwood we have been taking full advantage of the nice weather, we are now starting run a gardening Club, and hope to encourage lots of the residents to join in. We have lots of planters that need their attention 💐🌷🌻🪏🪴, we would love to get some beautiful flowers blooming in the garden. Thursday is outing day, this week, we visited a favourite, fed the ducks, played dominoes whilst enjoying a cup of tea, the residents really look forward to the weekly outing, and we are always open to suggestions of places to visit, so feel free to drop us a comment below. This afternoon we had baking club, and who doesn’t love a rice crispy cake!! Keep following to see what else we get up too.

WE’RE BACK!!
And boy are we enjoying the sunshine!
Things have been busy at Norwood house, we still have ongoing renovations, and we are excited that we are getting close to being able to reveal what we have been doing.
BUT it hasn’t stopped us having fun. Easter 🐣 was filled with chocolate and laugher, the sun has been shining, and the residents have been enjoying the warmth of that ball of fire in the sky, we have been to Eastern farm park, and enjoyed a beer tasting day (none alcoholic).

Good morning💖❤️,
We hope you all had a beautiful Valentine’s Day with your loved ones.
We held a valentines event Friday, for our beautiful residents. Thank you to Ken dalton, for coming in and performing for us, and giving all our lovely ladies a single red rose. We also went round some the residents and staff, and asked what would be the perfect valentines gift. There is definitely some sweet tooth’s out there 😂.

It is with a very heavy heart that, we have to announce the passing of our much loved colleague Saburi Adeniji, who sadly passed away last Friday.
As you can imagine, this very sad and sudden loss has shocked and saddened our whole team. Saburi was a kind hearted, hardworking young man, and a valued member of our team, who was like by everyone who met him, for us all at Norwood House, it was a privilege to have known and worked with him. We send our deepest condolences, love and thoughts to Saburi’s wife and daughter.

Saburi, you will forever be in our thoughts and forever a member of our Norwood Family 💔🕊️

GOOD EVENING!!
I hope you’re ready for a photo drop! Because there has been a lot going on!
Firstly I would like to apologise for the absence of regular posts, we have been mega busy in the home, and time has slipped away so quick! How are we nearly half way through February!!! (I hope you’ve all remembered your valentines cards for Saturday!💖❤️) .
We are currently using the sun lounge, while the main lounge is under refurbishment, but that doesn’t stop us from having fun! And it has been so nice, seeing so many new and old residents getting involved.
We have been having lots of fun, baking, trips out to aldeburgh and chinnys, we have had the ever wonderful Steve Hall : The 1960s ‘Plus’ Show come in for another brilliant show, the residents love him visiting. We have also had some of our furry favourites return for cuddles! Especially Pepe the skunk 🦨! Who is super cute! Thanks to Wild Encounters Events Ltd.
I hope you enjoy looking at all the lovely photos, and we look forward to sharing more adventures, and revealing all the exciting upgrades that have been happening lately! Watch this space.

Get ready for picture overload people! Because yesterday on Norwood House Christmas Day, we had a special visitor!!! SANTA! and his mischievous elves went around the home to deliver all our very special resident, their Christmas presents.
The day was filled with love, warmth and laughter, families came to visit, tummies were filled with festive food, and by the afternoon the festive movies played, and cosy winter naps were had. A beautiful Christmas Day was had by all 🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄💖🥰.

Thank you to all our wonderful staff who have made Christmas Day and Boxing Day possible, To our our support workers delivering the important care our residents need, to the kitchen for providing a beautiful Christmas Lunch, Domestics keeping the home looking lovely and to the activities team for providing seasonal activities. None of what goes on in our home would be possible without our wonderful teams. Merry Christmas to you all 🎅🏻🎄💖

I don’t know how you guys do Christmas 🎄 Eve, but we at Norwood House, laugh and have so much fun together, we want to make Christmas as special for our dear residents and your loved ones, so in true Polar express style we dressed in our PJs and photo bombed selfies with them which was so much fun.
