Year 4 service on this Vaillant ecotec plus combi boiler

Installed by ourselves with a lot of help from Matthew Daniel’s. Huge floor standing boiler was removed that had been there since the 80’s

Good morning Yorkshire!

Now I know I claim to be the best about 😜 but there is a reason I blow my own trumpet

Customer had a tiler in doing some work and they mentioned a leaking boiler and pressure loss.

“I used to be a boiler man I’ll take a look”

He replaced the expansion vessel and claimed the condense pipe was blocked under the floor.
Left no paperwork and wasn’t GAS SAFE REGISTERED

Now they have called me as the boiler is still leaking and they still have pressure loss.

1. The sump is cracked (leak and claimed blocked pipe)
2. The main heat exchanger is leaking internally (pressure loss)
3. The boiler is not room sealed as the case has 2 large holes in so AT RISK
4. The condense pipe was not blocked (the boiler would have shut down when the water backed up into the sump)

Now there are some really good guys who work in my area and if you don’t want to use me that’s fine but please….. get on GOOGLE and check for reviews and make sure they are GAS SAFE REGISTERED.

Some really poorly looked after boilers but as usual the previous engineer gets away with it because ‘he was a lovely guy’.
He might have smiled and winked at you but he’s done absolutely nothing for the money
