New - Pilates Foundations for Beginners
Over 4 weeks you will create a foundation that will allow you to build a new Pilates practice. There will be no rushing and there will be plenty of support. Pilates is really hard to get right so start with the basics - we will learn how to set up correctly for exercises and how to connect to the core 'power house', as well as practicing simple Pilates exercises. Starts Wednesday 4th 6pm. 5 spots available.
This course runs inside our weekly Pilates Beginners class, Wednesdays at 6pm. So if you miss out on the spots available or you cant plan that far ahead (understandable), then you can join these sessions pay as you go, booking in the usual way. This is a real treat to be hosting this at Yoga Space.
Yoga therapy adopts a holistic approach, utilising yogic practices that address mind, body, and spirit to facilitate Health Seekers (clients) in deeper exploration of their physical, mental and emotional health. Yoga Therapy is based on the concept that our body knows the score, and the answers we seek can be found within.

The Health Seeker will be guided though practices to support their awareness and connection to self in order to facilitate their healing journey.

To participate in a yoga therapy session, it is not necessary to have any previous experience in yoga; there are no expectations of super flexibility or being able to stand on your head (unless that’s something you want to do)! Just a willingness to open up to possibilities and new adventures.

A little about the therapist (Jo) :
"I spent a number of years working as a yoga teacher, holistic therapist
and reiki master before going on to qualify as an Occupational Therapist; I have been working as a health and social care professional for the past 14 years, specialising in physical rehabilitation. For many years I have felt drawn to return to my previous background of health and healing and had the opportunity to embark on a Yoga Therapy programme with Yoga United; this course brought together all my previous experience and knowledge as well as introducing me to whole other ways of working with people in a therapeutic way, and I love it!

I am offering some free “taster” sessions at Yoga Space, on the 7th March. Each session will be one-to-one and last approximately 30minutes. There will be an expectation of the Health Seeker to complete an Intake Form and to give some consideration as to an intention for the session (though this may well be different on the day – and that’s absolutely fine!)

Yes this rain and fog feels never ending, BUT the Spring will come and with it is a brand new early morning class to put a zing in your step!
Kundalini Yoga is returning to Yoga Space and it's timed perfectly - aligned with (what we hope will be) Spring energy.
Tuesdays 7.15am.
Movement, Breathwork and Mantra - Mental clarity and physical vitality to start your day.

Kundalini yoga is rooted in the yogic belief of a dormant energy at the base of your spine. This practice is designed to awaken and release that energy, drawing it up the body - this can help release pent up emotion and quiet that feeling of overstimulation and anxiety. The result is often an uplifted feeling accompanied by a sense of peace and overall wellbeing.
Book in the usual way. Included as part of most current memberships.
