Bernard & Sons Funeral Directors have been established in Scarborough since 1925 and are proud to be one of the longest serving funeral directors in the community. The team are led by business leader, Rachael Green alongside funeral directors, Martin Chandler, Emma Faunt, Melvin Blackford, Sophie Pawson and Ann Kitto who together have many years of experience in looking after families at the most

difficult times of their lives. Emma Kneeshaw, Sue Wilding, Lesley Birch, Sandra Robinson, Karen Eyre and Grace Midgley support the Funeral Directors in making sure all elements of the funeral arrangement are carried out with the utmost respect, care and dignity. Our support service team are specialists in making sure your loved one is cared for with the utmost dignity and respect. Our embalmer, Tracey Cross, is a Member of the British Institute of Embalmers and is ably assisted by Richard Parsons, Sarah Sadler and John Haag, as well as casual operatives who make up our trusted team. Bernard & Sons pride themselves on being a tradition of trust built over decades and always taking the greatest care. With branches on Prospect Road and Scalby Road, we are proud to have been part of Dignity Funerals since 2013 and continue to serve families in and around Scarborough with dedication.

Today we are incredibly proud to celebrate Martin Chandler, one of our dedicated Funeral Directors, who has achieved an outstanding 30 years of service with us.

Throughout Martin's journey with us he has shown unwavering commitment and professionalism in everything he does. His experience, calm reassurance and genuine care for the families he supports has made a lasting difference to colleagues and clients alike.

Reaching 30 years (and more besides) is no small achievement, and we are truly grateful for the loyalty, expertise and compassion that Martin brings to his role every day.

Along with Helen Morris Florist and Sabroso Burrito & Nacho Bar we are excited to be at the MHA Priceholme, Scarborough Easter Fair! It looks lovely and a lot of effort has gone into it by all so please do stop by. The fair is on until 4pm and with us you can win a homemade simnel cake or a jar of Easter treats and you can chat with our Business Manager, Rachael. You can also buy cakes and beautiful floral items, and try your hand at the Priceholme raffle and chocolate tombola. Do hop along.
