So many of us are touched by cancer and need someone to turn to make sense of it. Macmillan Cancer Support can help provide 6 free counselling sessions to those in need.


Through Bupa, Macmillan are offering up to six counselling free counselling sessions for people struggling emotionally because of cancer. Within days, people who are eligible can receive specialist, remote support.

Thank you All on the Board for acknowledging the importance of our bonds with animals.

The loss of an animal companion deserves compassion and recognition. They are family too and when we lose someone we love it's natural to hurt and grieve.

Thankyou All on the Board for acknowledging the importance of our pets.

We know when we lose a much loved family dog, cat or any animal, it is genuine pain and sadness. 🧑

As it's national walking day, how about signing up for our new dog walking group starting Tuesday 9th May 11am-12pm. This is a free group open to all, whether you have a dog or just admire them. 🐢

A note from me about grief -

There are no rules about who you should grieve more or less for. Grief is about the connection you had, be that friend, family member, animal companion or anyone else that mattered to you.

It is perfectly natural to be devastated by the loss of a family dog, yet be less moved by the death of a family member you had a more distant or troubled relationship with. Loss is hard, whoever they were.

If you are finding it difficult to cope after an animal companion has died, please reach out.
