I went to an event last year with Jeanette. My daughter was with me. Jeanette told her that she had had something but it was taken away from her.My daughter had lost a baby earlier in the year. We didnt tell Jeanette anything at all. She said that my daughter would have much joy coming to her around Christmas . As we left,Jeanette again said that she would have so much joy at Christmas. My grandson Robin was born on Christmas Day.

This weekend I became a first-time grandparent to a beautiful little girl and through this magical time I’ve been thinking about the gift of life and death.
Yes that’s correct I said gift of death… we all understand the beauty of a new born baby the excitement of beginning a new life adventure but we cannot always see that same beauty in the act of death, in fact many of us fear it and strive do anything to avoid it.
However if we take a minute and consider that when bodies have grown old and tired, painful and unable to support us in our endeavours, are souls are still bright and requiring and often feeling trapped …the release from the flesh does indeed become a glorious gift …it allows a soul to once again move freely unhampered by the restraints of body. Of course those that are only partway through their own journey and so left behind, are often sad because they emotionally miss their loved ones but remember that earthly missed soul is reborn into a fascinating world of new discoveries and joy, following a new direction.
So let’s celebrate life in all forms and always strive to make the most of yours while ever your body allows!
