Well I had another go at opening the shop this summer, and it isn’t working out. I simply don’t enjoy it anymore so it’s time to move onto something else (which is already in the pipeline… and I’ll share details shortly!)

So grab a bargain while there’s still a bit of stock left. 70% off loads of products, if you’d rather shop in person I’ll be in for a couple of days next week, or can meet you at the shop by appointment (just get in touch!).
All skincare products, ingredients, essential oils, carrier oils, soaps, accessories, face cloths, and more are all reduced to cost price.

I’m also selling the retail equipment, POS stuff and display/window display bits, so if you know anyone who has a shop and would like to have a look, please ask them to get in touch.

I’ll still have the shop - but I’m using it as a base for a new project I’m working on. So it won’t be open to the public but I’ll be around!

🪴 HERB APPRECIATION 🌼

Our garden is in bloom at the moment 🌺 so I snapped a couple of pics of two of my favourites from the year. These were both grown from seed in Spring, and have blossomed into beautiful flowers - packed with amazing skincare and medicinal properties. So, I thought I’d share a bit of info about them.

⭐️ ST JOHN’S WORT ⭐️
When applied topically, St John’s Wort can help soothe dry, itchy skin, and aid skin conditions such as eczema, as well as improving elasticity and hydration. It also has anti-ageing benefits due to its antioxidant qualities, and stimulates collagen. Perfect for an infused oil, or toning floral water.
It also has mood lifting properties, often used to treat depression and anxiety, as it helps release seratonin.

🧡 CALENDULA 🧡
Another wonder herb - with anti-inflammatory, antifungal and antimicrobial properties. Calendula is amazing for soothing and calming inflammatory skin conditions, healing wounds and aiding cell renewal. Infused into a body oil it can be used head to toe to heal and nourish tired skin.
It also assists with digestion and the immune system, and is regularly included in herbal tea blends.

🌿 NATURAL RETINOL 🌿

The first batch is ready to dispatch, and everyone who has pre-ordered their serum will receive it by the end of the week (plus a couple of extras to say thank you for your support 🙏)

This plant powered golden goodness has been curing for a few weeks, to ensure every drop is as powerful as the next. And if you’re wondering why it is a bright orange colour, that would be the carotenoids - rich antioxidant vitamin A, to help rejuvenate skin and boost collagen production (but don’t worry it doesn’t stain or leave a tint - we’ve thoroughly tested it on many different skin types to make sure)🍊🥕🌹

We’ve also blended anti-ageing Bakuchiol (nature’s alternative to synthetic retinol), with Organic Rosehip, Argan and Jojoba Oils, to create a nourishing base, that is easily absorbed and hydrates all day.

Lightly scented with Neroli, Frankincense and Geranium it has a gentle citrus and floral top note, with a rich, earthy base note.

We did No Mow May this year and have been absolutely amazed by the results 🌸🌺🍀☘️🌼

What most people consider weeds are actually beautiful flowers, herbs and edible plants. I’ve been so impressed I’ve decided to keep a section for the rest of the summer.

It’s World Ocean’s Day this Thursday (8th June), and there’s a whole host of activities going on in Scarborough. Head down to South Bay from 12pm to join in. Come in fancy dress, or dress in blue for the ocean… bring posters and banners and let’s make a statement!! (We’ll have a few spare banners if you don’t have anything you can bring or make).

All co-ordinated by our fabulous local eco group No More Trash

There’s a Yorkshire Wildlife Trust litter picking event at 12pm, and the amazing Sally Bunce from Reclaim our Sea will be talking about her efforts to highlight the effects of the Teeside dredging fiasco on our coastal eco-systems.

There’ll also be sand art courtesy of the lovely Gaby Naptali

Members of No More Trash will be having a little get together, so we can all meet in person for a change, instead of through a screen

Improve your skin from the inside as well as externally. Topical application of skincare products is not the only way to get glowing skin. Some plants pack a powerful antioxidant punch - we’re investigating which ones can be used as part of your internal skincare routine.

This formula has been tweaked and updated countless times over the last few months, but it seems as though we’re just about there, and our product testers agree. Thank you guys, for your honest feedback, constructive criticism and enthusiasm for something we’ve worked really hard on this year.
