Fabulous session tonight with the Scarborough Athletic Academy under 10’s and 11/12’s girls teaching them about growth, maturation and development in our new Academy Treatment Room, blending learning, practice & further development

Discussing various growth related injuries and explaining the anatomy and mechanics behind them

Showed the girls various stretches they could do to work different muscles, and explained how it can support their training and how they can incorporate these into their daily lives

We talked about how exercising with their own bodyweight, the right nutrition to fuel their bodies, foam roller-ing, and stretching, together with the work they do with their coaches working on developing their motor skills and movement patterns, all combine to make them stronger and help reduce the risk of injuries
